Big Happy Birthday Dom. Enjoy the youth while it lasts. and the pretty boy. We have one of those in the office and just a few minutes ago he was standing over my shoulder while we worked on a document together. He also has a nice, deep voice that sends shivers up my spine. *sigh*. My co-workers all giggle when he comes around and watch me shiver and drool. It's a damn good thing I'm taken or I'd be dragging that boy into the bathroom just to get him out of my system.

Saw it last night with Robert. Thoroughly enjoyable, and seeing Simon with no shirt on was fantastic. Really, Serenity/Firefly is up there on a par with BSG...it was just a few years ahead of its time.

Hehe, I told him happy birthday before any of you...of course we were in bed at the time.

I've loved them since the first time I saw them in a little club in Berkely, before their big break. Robert and I watched the full version online (yes, it's available for free online) and yes, I had some tears in my eyes. Green Day has not been anything but vocal in their opposition to this war, and to the President's policies. Unlike other entertainers though, they let their music talk for them. Even more importantly, they shape and tailor their criticisms to certain things rather than broad generalities. Green Day proves they are truly good musicians though because this album rocks as good as any of their others...

I've been to Phuket. It was a port-of-call for my ship in our 1991 WestPac cruise. We spent four wonderful days there, including the Fourth of July. I can remember overhearing an argument between Shore Patrol and local police after a sailor was accused of walking out without paying by a local prostitute. The sailor claimed in his defense that while having anal intercourse he reached around to discover that it was a guy, not a girl he was screwing. The SP made him pay her bar fine (a term for payment made to a prostitute). Then there was my getting kicked out of eight bars for fighting and so forth, recovering from a broken nose I got in Singapore, and of course a few friendly skirmishes with some very cute Marines.

Just smile, be happy and enjoy the jelly beans...(I've become addicted to them...any wonder I can't write anymore?)

I always wondered what would happen if I stopped posting new chapters... Take a deep breath, calm down, and eat a rainbow-colored skittles. I've been very sick the last few days and am just recovering. Don't make me break out the bats (vampire-bats are the worst).

trebs is ready to kill me after I stayed up all night before the disneyland birthday celebration. I finished the book, but was way tired the next day (we had to be up at 4:00 a.m. to get into the park). After finishing it...I ran the whole gamut of emotions. #7 will be a wonderful read when it arrives.

Another amusing fact about that list...I've been to SEVENTEEN of those countries and sailed within sight of four more. (Not including my home country, the USA).

Not yet...there's no ring with a jewel on my finger.

Oh dear lord in heaven....dancing to NSYNC while reading phone call? Might as well tell him the author of that story met Lance Bass while writing it.

I love it when this wonderful guy rides to the rescue when something really bad really happens, making me feel like I'm on top of the world. I love it that the glasses will be here in a week and I'll actually be able to see what I'm typing.

I second that emotion...even though I've been pretty busy running Grandma around today. She's got her hair done, her nails done, last-minute shopping done, and the car is fueled up for our 3:00 a.m. departure. Then I have to drive her to the airport and it's one week with no Grandma. Hurray! Maybe I'll get more than a paragraph or two of writing done.

I've watched the star wars video three times now and I actually got teary-eyed.

Chad was actually type-cast a little too roughly following Dr. Quinn. He did have a minor-guest spot on Star Trek: The Next Generation. His latest work is End of the Spear about some missionaries killed by a South/Central American native tribe. He also played in Third Man Out which has not yet be released, but is completed. He's had a few guest star positions and few more bigger roles in a few movies...I think he once said that sometimes being a blond pretty-boy was more of a problem in getting roles than most people would believe.

I remember seeing something about the site going down a little while ago, but can't remember where (probably in General forum). I do know that TheEggMan has an account here, and I believe it may be the same person. Send him a PM and maybe he'll respond. I ended up having to take java completely off my system, as well as something else, and then reinstall them in order to get this to work. Pain in the rear, but worth it.

I wouldn't say it's even a rivalry. I'm just green with envy for Dom's greatness.

Bad Novelty! Don't throw an author's words back in his face. I've sent 17 in to Myr for posting in the morning, written my blog and I'm to pace before deciding if I want 1) Sleep or 2) start writing 24. I force myself to sleep at midnight, so I might get a page or two done if I start now. More than likely I'll sleep and start 24 in the morning.

Damn you Novelty! Damn you I say for making a very damn good point and pointing out my own inconsisty of thought at times. Now I"m going to have to mull your points, and balance them with what JC said. When I first started the blog, it was rather infrequent postings, and mostly bitching about family members. Then I started talking about more than that, and I MUST admit that I like it now. I feel it's a way to talk directly to my readers, and for them to talk back. What I don't want is a forum taking away from that connection to the readers. Yet, you raise a valid point (oh, and you just reminded me I haven't made the final changes to 17 and got it sent off to Myr and I haven't written my blog entry for the posting - sigh - I DID however finish writing 23, right on schedule.). I'd love to see discussion on Davey's mom being a bitch, and on whose funeral it is in chapter 16 (which WON'T be answered for several more chapters). The blog doesn't really lend itself to that, and while the Cafe IS for story discussions, a single DOR thread doesn't really fit. More than one thread would hurt independent, non-hosted authors like Novelty whose stories get less discussion, but are important if GA is to succeed (hosted authors are nice for building fan bases and so forth, but we burn out and fade off into the sunset over time. It's a fact of life. If GA is to last beyond the current group of hosted authors, we need to build and support up and coming authors.) The Cafe is and really should be THEIR area for discussion. Okay, okay, you've made me look at this in a different light. I might reconsider the 100 vote requirement (although I want to hear from a good majority of board members on this). If it's still at 66% or higher on Friday Saturday night, I might say yes. Now, I'm off to write my blog for tomorrow (I was going to give a big one today on the nature of heroes from the 1980's to the present but that will have to wait. I might write it offline and post it on Sunday - I'm finding on the blogs that they seem to do better if left up for a full day after their posting day (i.e. the 17 discussion up on friday and left up until Sunday). Putting up a new one too soon seems to cut off discussion...
