  1. What? No guesses so far, and I gave easy clues! OK, to re-cap: What do Rhawes, Vlista, Viv, Dezlboi and Jack Scribe have in common? Come one, given the context, this isn't hard! As for when the announcement will be posted, it's tomorrow, but the exact time was what what my last post presented as the riddle. The key is right there in that post (the one above this!) Like I told Conner: It's right under his nose! OK, this was just a couple of puzzles for fun, and to keep things going until the announcement Friday. Don't worry, none of the actual game questions were written my me (and they aren't puzzles like I have been doing). They are easy to answer questions, and you will know where to look to find the answers (that's why it's a scavenger hunt: you are finding things, not taking a test.) So, can't anyone solve the posting time riddle? (BTW, any WST member or participating Author, or absolutely anyone, feel free to take a stab at the posting time question: Only I know the answer). CJ
  2. Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you have a great one!! Best Wishes; CJ
  3. Congratulations LB!!!! I'm glad it's in a feild you wanted, and it sounds like a great job! I hope this goes great for you. CJ
  4. Well, you are quite correct about missing it Friday, unless I meant Friday in Australia. Save your $$$, Drew. He doesn't know either. Nobody knows but me (cue evil, maniacal laughter) But, I'll be nice, and offer a clue (a real one) below. ROFL!! Well, that's a good point! But, Conner, oh yea of the Goat Sub-Group (I like that, BTW!) you must be sleepy yourself, as the answer is right under your nose and you still can't figure it out. OK, OK, a clue. A real clue. The exact time, and also a location in that time-zone, is in one of the previous posts in this thread.
  5. Trebs!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a really good one!!!! Best Wishes, CJ
  6. Yeah- the image at the top comes from an old French movie. Since it was an ESA probe, I thought that it was somewhat appropriate. I recognized it, which is why i thought it was so funny. ROFL! Speaking of European Space Graphics, take a look at this one: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&...265974581220bbd Not only does it show the shuttle free-flying when transferring the new truss to the station, but they put the SRB's OVER the wing on the graphic of the stack. ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (BTW, no offence meant to any Europeans! I'd make the same remarks no matter who put out this graphic!)
  7. Hi Tom! You know where to find the answer to the question of "When on friday will the full announcment and description be posted to the Lounge?" (hint: It's not where ya think... ") CJ
  8. I forgot to post it... Forgot to hit the "add Reply" button, anyway. Hey, this posting thing is complicated when you are a shy lurker who never posts... Here is the link to the new thread! https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5713
  9. Soon, very soon, (This Friday, Sept 8th, to be exact) the full official announcement will be made, here in the Lounge. It will describe the game and prize in full, and also the game dates. But for now, a few hints, to see if you guys are ready for this! Hmmm, let's see... Now, did everyone see the birthday present some of our Authors made for AFreindlyFace (Kevin)? What do Viv, Jack Scribe, RHawes, Vlista (Vance), and Dezlboi all have in common? What time on Friday will the full announcement of the Great G.A. Scavenger Hunt be made?
  10. Uhoh! OK, Davey, no need to send you Mum after me! I guess I can make a special announcement, that might just answer some questions! I'll post it as a new thread in a few minutes.
  11. Buhahahaaha!!! I love that top image! Was that something you added?
  12. Wow, Kevin, what a great day!! I love the way you write! I really enjoyed reading that. Note to Self: if Kevin ever sees my wardrobe, he will immedialty burn my Gay Card.
  13. Wow, thanks Nick! :king: :king: :king: Congrats on the big 1000... :king: :king: :king:
  14. Congratulations to Nick, the 8th member of the Millennium Club!
  15. Thank you Eddy! I'm working on it! I have been overwhelmed by the comments! My deepest thanks to you and everyone! CJ
  16. Happy 21st, Drew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have yourself a great Birthday!!! The 21st is one of the best!!! :king:
  17. Hi Knotme! Thanks! I was exceedingly nervous about this, but I had a blast, and I'm hooked! I've done much the same (finaly gotten somewhere, and then realized: "What now?") BTW, the actions of Trevor and Jason were one of the sub-themes of the story: Take a chance. I used to surf Rincon and the beaches in the area (I grew up near there) so I've seen quite a few accidents and rescues, and I know that the penalties and fines for climbing those bluffs are really steep. Many are worse than sandstone, they are clay aggregate (basically, hard clay dirt with some rock). Some of the ones near Rincon are like that. I was hoping the "strange, sweet smell" would fake people out. Part of what I was trying for with that and Jason's reluctance to have an ambulance, plus his reluctance to talk about his past was to make people wonder about drugs, at first. Plus, I've seen surfers play the "Sex wax" joke plenty of times, so it just seemed to fit. Thanks very much for the comments! C J
  18. Now that would be tough!! There are some where it's hard to tell, and plenty of members who rarely post, or haven't posted in ages, and so would be hard to find without looking at all 2800 or so members accounts. BTW, Kevin was right, there really is a great prize for the winner of the hunt!
  19. Happy Birthday Jared!!!!!!! I hope you have a great year! Best Wishes; CJ
  20. Well, OK, OK, I suppose I can share some info... There is going to be a Scavenger hunt, it's going to be here at GA, and it's going to be great!
  21. BUAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin, that made me laugh out loud so hard my side hurt!!! My favorite line: "I sauntered (I was going for a gay book after all) over to the Gay Studies section." Thank you Kevin, for once again brightening my day! CJ
  22. Redlight, you must be under enormous stress right now, but IMHO the good news is that she hasn't reacted with hostility, from what you say. IMHO, the counseling is a good idea, because any competent counselor will focus on ways to get your mother to accept things, and not on changing the unchangeable. However, if on the off chance you get a counselor who does not realize what the Psychiatric community has realized for over three decades (that homosexuality is not an illness, and therefor cannot be "cured") don't let them push you around; chew them out and demand (don't ask, demand) a competent counselor. Take care and good luck, and please keep us posted. Best Wishes; CJ
