“My Lord, it appears that Mr Hammersley here does not believe in the traditions of the royal family and aristocracy,” James said to me when I entered the Bridge saloon, and I saw a nervous paramedic standing nearby, and I turned to face him. “You have been on board my yacht for some time now, and you know that I have a title, so what is this about not paying respect to my cousins just a short time ago?” I asked. “I am sorry Mr Crawford, but that is how I feel, I do not wish to upset anyone

Next door to Keswick Island is St Bees Island, of which is 2,720 acres, of which 12 acres is leasehold, which I have purchased, with a remaining twenty-year lease,” Robert announced, and both of us were stunned at this news. I would like to make this a special holiday home for you both, and the first thing I want to do, it to replace the homestead with a more solid, cyclone-proof home, that won’t blow away easily, Next, I want to replace the holiday home with two cyclone proof, holiday cott

After a few months of cruises around the Strahan area, I decided that I needed a change, but with my responsibilities in Tasmania, I was very reluctant to just fly off to Scotland and spend some time there. Instead, I decided on having an extended holiday onboard my new yacht, with just the crew on board. I discussed this with Mum and Brad one evening while having dinner in town, and Mum said that she has had enough travelling for now, and she is very happy with life in the lifestyle villag

After some discussions between Marc and the Captain, they decided to stay in the upper reaches of Monument Harbour, for at least one more week, and in that time, they would decide on where they would be heading next, the problem was now, I was not entirely sure if I wanted to remain on the yacht or not. Because of the time stranded on Six Foot Lake, it was decided that we would return to Invercargill for another restock of supplies, and because we have already gone through the customs proc

Aussie Pioneers… That story has a bit of significance to my ancestors, who came to Western Australia, when the Swan Colony was young. Great great grandfather was a Barrister in London, before immigrating to WA with his young family. With no call for Barristers in the Swan Colony (Western Australia) in those days, he and his family travelled about 80 kilometres inland and leased some land and took up farming. Farming continues for five more generation on my branch of the family.

“Marc, do you have extra crew?” I asked, “Yes, I have a 2nd Engineer, a Galley Cook, a Steward and a Deckhand added recently,” Marc replied. “How do you fit in with this crowd, Devlin?” Rebecca asked me, “Well… Um, it is a little complicated…” I started to say, and Marc laughed. “He is my special guest, we met some time back, and I would like to get to know him a bit better than a friend, but he has a few personal problems he is trying to cope with, and Brady, who is an old school friend of

Our four and a bit hour flight to Sydney went very smoothly, arriving at 5.15 in the afternoon, and once we had our luggage, we had a chauffer car take us to our hotel for our overnight stay, where we would change to tourist mode, for our two our early morning flight to Lord Howe Island, arriving there just after 9 am. “Good morning gentlemen, can you tell me which accommodation you are staying at while on the island please,” the uniformed lady at the counter asked us as we stepped into the

Once Sam and the lads had enjoyed their time in the jacuzzi, and we had returned to the harbour, they appeared wrapped in the cosy robes, “Thank you very much Mr Stalder for the chance to check out your yacht and enjoy the jacuzzi”, the lads said to Marc, “We will go and shower and change before dinner is ready,” Sam added. “Your welcome, and dinner will be served at 7pm sharp,” Mark replied as Brady’s phone rang, and he stood up and stepped out of the room to answer the call, while the fis

Goodness me…. So many question!

“By the sound of that groan, you know something about that motor yacht?” Sam said to me, and reluctantly I nodded my head yes. “I do… the Blue Seal belongs to a wealthy cousin of my old school friends from my high school days, and I met Mr Stalder a little way back, when he arrived in Western Australia, when I was still working for my friends,” I explained. “Wow, that’s cool, so have you have been onboard this super yacht?” Liam asked me, “Yes I have, but just once for dinner,” I replied. “

“Ok, can you tell me a bit about the other yacht you have been on?” Sam asked me, “Well, she is called Anders Way, and she is a 46-metre catamaran yacht, and it has room for eight crew and has five guest cabins,” I replied, “Ok, sounds like it is a Sunreef Sailing yacht,” Sam replied, “Yes, it is, and it is awesome when all the sails are out,” I replied smiling. “Sounds like you have only just discovered sailing recently and that you enjoy it a lot. So, what made you leave there?” Sam asked
