Always! I just can't help myself. Ruined for normal interaction a long time ago.

But Colt is also heavily influenced by the scents. That's how it starts. Why would he be more hurt than the rest if the scent theory checks out? It's not like the others were Casanovas or anything prior to meeting Colt... The first person you sleep with tends to be important to you, at least if he's a steady partner for a period of time. They must have some holes in their ears. Otherwise, how would they hear...?

Someone apparently likes ears... Hmm, reminds me of a certain character in a certain saga... And no, I didn't notice the ears either.- 1,697 replies

As I said, it takes one to know one. Did anyone say kindred spirits? Bussom buddies?

Destiny - A Novel By Ac Benus

I would think too many people get handled too roughly by life and make the journey from optimistic to cynical. It's a natural reaction if you've had bad experiences. I have been moderately lucky in my life, so it hasn't been a struggle to remain an optimist. Still, it is almost frighteningly easy to fall into the trap to only see the bad things in life. Maybe it's human nature, intended to drive us on. It's a pity so many people stay in a place in life that makes them bitter instead of seeking change. So yes, I've made a choice to focus on the good things in my life, while I accept the bad and try to improve what I can. Not so easy at is sounds... -
I call you a romantic, you call me a romantic. Maybe Equi is right. We INTJ seek true love. I at least can relate to that. In my life I've met maybe three people I thought I could have a serious relationship with. Sure, I flirt, but very few get beneath the surface. Why? I think I simply don't find it worth the time or effort unless the person I'm interested in is more or less perfect (For me, that is. Not in some general way, since no one is perfect). I have high demands on myself and equally high demands on my partner. Could that narrow entry way to my heart be seen as looking for true love? Possibly. It is kind of a romantic notion to wait for that special individual made just for you. Ha, ha! Got to keep some mystery about me!

The more, the merrier! New ranters are always welcome!

I can only agree with the others. What happened to Nathan? What ended up on that memory card? That feels like the key.

That was a difficult opening chapter. So sad. I hope I will be able to read it. It's hard to read stories like this when you have kids. It's hard to keep any kind of distance.

When Malachy is like this, he makes it kind of hard to dislike him. Somehow, I find myself hoping he can find another body (isn't that macabre?) and stay with Hazel. Maybe proving you fall in love with a mind and not a body? I just can't figure out who's body...

What!?! They are in here?! Shit!

They're nothing you can't guess. I haven't changed that much. And to be honest, 8 was a bit exaggerated. 10 is more accurate.

What a scene! I'm relieved to see those insecurities gone! At least for a while...

Then I won't tell you mine...

Even my liberal Swedish soul would consider the Metaverse a bit advanced for an 8-year old. LOL "You know dad, they're wolves and they sort of live together. And they have these cages on their..."

What a nice triumvirate!

So much insecurities to look forward to!

I think I already told you. It was in connection to that horrible prompt, where Colt sits alone in front of some glass monuments. I decided it's all a vampire scheme to make him believe the wolves are gone. If they were really gone, Colt would not survive. This was however prior to the whole scent addiction thing. If the scents are gone and they are all free to love or not love as they want, a couple of dead wolves would not affect Colt.
