To me, Alek has never been a bad guy. He loves Liam and seeing him hurt would have been tough for him. Liam is also a good man. The question is, would they be good together? Thank you for your comment and support, Drew

Chapter 16 Liam couldn’t believe how fast four days had gone by. Now he was back at the airport, waiting to board his flight to Toronto. Marty had dropped him off over an hour ago, and Liam missed the man already. Although they wouldn’t be living in the same city, he was really looking forward to having his best friend in the same province. His last night in Halifax had been wonderful. He and Marty had gone out for a lobster dinner, and then binge watched an entire season

This was quite a chapter. It wasn't the same tear-jerker like the previous chapter, but the emotions were no less intense. I had a feeling Kellar was going to shy away from the Alpha mantle. He doesn't want to be a leader. He's happy with his role of healer. I think he may either grow into the role (as he did with his Doc role) or he may be right, and leadership by committee might be the wave of the future for the packs. The scenes with Fendral had me holding my breath with an anxious Kellar. He wants to help the man he now knows is his grandfather, but the worry that we was too late, or that he would fail would be daunting. I love how when he starts to flail and meets a wall with his treatment, it's Tobyn who comes up with the idea how to reach Fendral's shifter colors. Kellar might see the colors, but they are a team. Wonderful chapter Gary. I can't wait to see what happens with Fendral next Morningstar Monday!

Wow, the anxious energy was palpable when I read this. I've felt this way before and it's really not a good feeling. Even now the memory of a racing heart electric tingles of too much energy can give me butterflies.

Chapter 15 Allie dragged Liam back to the table, insisting he tell her more about his love life, or lack thereof. Unfortunately, she had to wait since Ken, Sara and Joey had arrived, and the mini-reunion took precedence for several minutes. The laughter at their table drowned out the music, and earned amused gazes from the other patrons. You did a wonderful job with this. "Gay for you" can be a tough angle to pull off believably, but you did it here. I can see Arlo slowly realizing his feelings, but not having the courage or experience to say something to Den. The feelings had to be confusing at first, and then he wouldn't want to lose his friend. This wasn't looking across the room and falling for someone out of the blue. They started as friends and maintained that friendship for ten years before those feelings came to light. Again. very believably done.

I'm really happy that Eric wasn't invading Nelson's privacy. I didn't think he would, but I couldn't fathom why he would have the journal open. This was a plausible explanation. I laughed at Eric's "What would Rob do" comment. I think he nailed it (oh and sorry for not reviewing this sooner I completely missed you posting it when i was MIA for a few days

Oh my God. The recounting of Sybil's vision had me in tears, but Kellar finally has some concrete information about his mother, and people who remember her. I know the way they died will be haunting, but he'll also have the stories from those who loved her, comfort that her death has likely been avenged, and the potential of a living relative. I wonder if Fendral senses their connection and that's why he can't seem to stay away from Kellar for too long? I know Kellar doesn't like to be the centre of attention and isn't comfortable in a position of power, but I think his sense of duty might spur him to take the mantle of alpha of the pack. Question: if Kellar is the rightful alpha should he actually be putting himself in potential danger by leaving the pack and travelling to look for other mates? Could this vision have also been a way to keep him from straying to far from home?? Wonderful chapter, Gary, even if I needed to track down some tissues to finish it.

Chapter 14 Liam awakened, momentarily confused about where he was. The room was unfamiliar, until he recalled he was visiting Marty. Oh I loved the other stories as well (how could someone not love sexy cowboys?), I just completely related to the relationship disconnect in Dirty Pool.

I loved all three of these stories, but I think my favourite was Dirty Pool. The premise of allowing life and lack of communication to get in the way of a relationship is something we've probably all experienced in some way. It was, as always, as beautifully written story that made me really feel for the characters. This was a great choice for an author promo and a wonderful excuse to read the great stories again.

Elinor is pregnant! *happy dance*. This is wonderful news her, Denver and the pack as a whole. Children bring joy and hope and both Vega and Morningstar have been sorely lacking in both in recent years. I predict a few more happy announcements very soon Conner and Hugh are a sweet couple trying to deal with the mate bond and Conner's understandable conflicted feelings. He knows he likes Hugh and because of the bond, he's having a hard time being apart from him, but at the same time he doesn't like the feeling of things being out of his control. After what he's endured with Brian, I can't say I'm surprised. Hugh is a sweetheart though and is very understanding and only wants his mate to be comfortable and happy. His offer to move away from the pack, even temporarily, shows how good of a mate he's going to be. Another wonderful chapter, Gary
