Timothy’s Terrible Prompt Stories - 60. Prompt 518 Who gave you the right to read my journal?

A Nelson POV chapter

“Who gave you the right to read my journal?”

Eric’s smile didn’t waver. “I’m not reading your journal. I couldn’t even if I wanted to. Dude, your handwriting is worse than mine.”

He was right about that. I printed all my assignments rather than turning in hand-written reports to teachers, who would complain they couldn’t decipher them.

“So what are you doing?”

“I looked in the drawer,” he said, pointing at my bedside table. “I wanted to see if you had…stuff.” Now he did squirm a bit, and I wanted to laugh in spite of my initial anger.

“Stuff?”

“Yeah, uhm, you know. For whatever we might do in bed.”

“I wasn’t planning to do anything which involved ‘stuff.’ Isn’t my mouth good enough?”

“Fuck yeah! But, well, never mind. I saw the book and when I moved it, this photo slid out.” He held up a photo of Jasper and me, from when we were fourteen. We were standing on the beach, wearing nothing but Speedos and with our arms around each other’s shoulders. Our bodies were glistening from the sunscreen we had just smeared on. He’d done my back, and I had done his, when my mom insisted on taking a few snapshots. This one was the best and my favorite.

“That was taken the summer after I came out to my parents and my best friend. It meant a lot to me that he didn’t act any differently or get shy about physical contact. I told him he’s like a brother and I’d no more crush on him than his sisters. But he did tease me a lot about drooling over all the hot guys on that beach.”

“I bet none of them were as handsome and sexy as you. I’m sorry I was snooping, but I wanted to see if there were any more great pictures of you.”

I went over and sat next to him. “Hmm, I guess you’re forgiven. But why make do with photos, when you have the real thing?”

“I could ask you the same.” He held up two photos of himself. Both taken while he was being fitted for part of his costume in the Christmas play. Somehow, the tunic had been too tight across the shoulders and a seam ripped. Eric had simply stripped the tunic off and handed it to one of the people who were deft with a needle. When someone wolf-whistled at him, he’d flexed and done a taunting pose, and I’d managed to snap several shots with my cell phone without anyone noticing.

“At the time I was surprised you went along with the girls asking you to show off. Usually, you’re shy.”

“I asked myself what Rob would do.” We both chuckled. “No, you’re right. Normally, I would never pose like that. But when I’m acting, it’s like I take on another personality, one that’s braver and more outspoken. Maybe it’s because I know from the script and the instructions what I’m supposed to do and say. And even though I wasn’t on the stage that day, I still felt it wasn’t me, Eric, who exposed himself, but Bob Cratchit.”

“Well, I enjoyed the spectacle just as much as those girls.” I leaned over to give him a quick kiss.

“So, the photos in here represent good memories?”

“Yeah, I guess so.”

“Is that why you asked your mom to take a photo of us, when we got home tonight?”

“I knew she wanted to, but she’d never say so. She’s actually quite cool about not doing embarrassing Mom stuff most of the time. She’s also a good amateur photographer.”

“She made us relax, which was pretty amazing. You know, just asking about the meal and joking about Signor Alfredo, and taking a snapshot now and then.”

“If they turn out well, I’m going to put one or two of them on Facebook, if that’s OK with you.”

“And one of these too?” Eric held up the shirtless photos and smirked.

I punched his shoulder. “Nope, those are for private use only.”

“Oh, yeah, and what might that be, babe?”

“Put the book away and I’ll show you.”

Eric immediately slipped my journal back into the drawer. “With or without the other stuff in here?”

I tackled my grinning boyfriend, and after a short wrestling match, had him pinned on the bed. We were both hard and I thrust against him.

“What would you say if I took you at your word? If I got the lube and the condoms out and—“

“Yes. I’d say yes, Nelson. I love you and I want you to fuck me.” He arched up against me and we both moaned as our cocks rubbed together. I dove in to muffle the sounds with a long kiss. We ended up lying on our sides, as closely entangled as possible.

“We wouldn’t be fucking, Eric. We’d be making love.”

“I know, but I think anything we do in bed is loving. Kiss, touch, suck, fuck – I want to cover all the bases. I’ve already hit a home run just scoring you as my boyfriend, but I want to hit another soon and go all the way.”

“I want the same, babe. I want you inside me in every way, but I’m still going to take it slow. We should explore and enjoy every moment along the way instead of running blindly to the edge and jumping off.”

“Hmm, I see your point. It would be like going to the Grand Canyon with only a bungee jump on your mind and not paying any attention to the astounding landscape.”

“Or climbing the highest peak in order to shout ‘I did it,’ and forget to enjoy the views and the pleasure of the hike.”

“I’m sorry about being pushy, Nel. And about snooping in your private stuff.”

“As long as you’re only pushy with words, it’s OK. We can be honest about what we want, but we also need to respect limits. No, Wait, and ‘I don’t want to’ are as important to say as Yes, More, and I want you.”

“I don’t want to upset you, but I do want to make love, one way or another.”

“Oh, don’t worry, we will. I’m going to strip you naked and kiss every inch of your yummy body and give you the best blow job I can manage.”

“Fuck, babe, you make me so horny I wanna scream.”

“No screaming with parents in the house.”

“Jeez, way to spoil the mood.”

We both laughed, because the hard pole against my thigh showed no sign of diminishing. Probably because our talking was interrupted by periods of making out.

“Nel, I’m glad neither of us has much experience.”

“Yeah? You don’t mind us fumbling along together?”

“No, I like the idea of exploring, and there’s less pressure about being good.”

“Or very, very bad.” I wriggled my eyebrows at him and he rewarded me with a heated kiss.

“Yeah, we’ll save that for the night of the Prom. But we can practice and have fun in other ways.”

“I want you to know everything we’ve done so far has been way beyond any expectations, better than my dreams actually. And I’ve had a lot of dreams about you, Eric.”

“Me too, even though I don’t have any inspiring photos next to my bed.”

“Well, you have a very nosy brother.”

“True that.”

“Do you think we would have gotten together without him interfering?”

“Who knows? I can’t imagine my life without you, but that’s not my main worry right now.”

“No? What is?” I teased, since I had a pretty good idea from the wet spot on my leg.

“How I’m going to last another second without begging you to suck me before I explode.”

“All you had to do was ask, Eric.”

No cliffie this time. The rest is up to your imagination. :P

Dear Tim,

Old age is catching up with me, as I'm losing my short term memory, I'll have to go back to the beginning and read the whole thing again.  Just so I could enjoy this sweet snippet of their lives even more (you know, the context will make every sentiment more heart felt) ...

Regards,

Bloody authors!

Nel has poor handwriting? I have the feeling that some of his teachers, at the beginning of each school year, demanded he write his assignments... I can imagine their look of horror at the first assignment Nel turned in! :lmao:

But my favorite part of this chapter, was when Eric said , "What would Rob do?" :gikkle: We could totally sell that as a t-shirt! :D

Thanks for the great chapter, Tim!

I can totally relate to the being in character thing and being able to do things you don't normally feel comfortable doing. I did drama in school and still use those skills in my daily life. At work especially, to help me go against my naturally shy personality. They are very sensible boys. I was not as sensible at that age... LOL

No Rob.. only a passing reference to him? Great chapter. It's really great that the boys can talk , communication is the basis for the greatest relationships.,.even when you are sometimes forced  by circumstance to ask !

Me too. When I was 16, one of my friends asked me to help out with the school play. After my initial reluctance, I agreed, auditioned, and got a part. Well, I was still incredibly shy, so the Drama teacher took me aside and told me, "It's not you on stage, it's a Prince trying to woo a Princess." That really went a long way in helping me, I realized when someone is acting, it's not them on stage but their characters.

I think that's why actors can do things they normally wouldn't feel comfortable doing, because it's not them, but the characters they are playing.

I just love the relationship of these two boys. Of course they are experiencing sexual firsts together. They are also growing... Constantly communicating. The most important aspect of a relationship. I also respect Nelson, for trying to hold restraint.

You’re still playing that part, Princess!

But I enjoyed the reference to a speedo-clad Jazz even if he is underage. (I always try to imagine him a decade or two older anyway!)

Yeah... I live in rural Texas, do you really think I'd be sashaying all over the stage in front of a small-town audience? ;-)

Yeah… I bet you do it without even realizing it!  ;-)

Swinging those hips and snapping your fingers! I can see it now! (Make it stop Timmy! Make it stop!)  ;-)

Pretty nerve-wracking first line, min ven!  Thank goodness you let us relax until the making-out started.  :D

Much as it would be fun to see them go all the way, I'm glad they are waiting until a better time comes along--like after the Prom; this should be a very special occasion for them.  Yeah, I know it will be no matter what, but I see these guys are awfully romantic about big events.

I so want a 'Rob' tee-shirt!

Drew and drought, will you please stop fooling around in my story !

Sorry Tim. I'll say one final thing about this chapter, I love how comfortable Jazz is with Nel's sexuality. He is a great best friend. :)

That's OK, hoho, and a much nicer thing to say than my scattered updates being the reason you forget what's happened earlier. :*)  Have fun reading from the beginning and I look forward to random screaming and delightful comments.

Yup, I know.  But I bet anything I could come up with would never equal your imagination, Drew.

Good point about the teachers and the T-shirt.  and the Rob question was a favorite for me too.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who don personas according to the environment I'm in. Or rather show different aspects of me to fit into social or work settings. Sensible teens are unusual, especially here in GA, but they do exist. Of course, they can still be silly and annoying too. Just look at Rob.

LOL, Team Rob never fails to leave a few grumpy comments when he's not been the center of attention for a couple of chapters. You guys are adorably predictable.

Yeah, communication helps a lot in relationships, and the boys are still getting to know each other. In all sorts of ways. :P

Thank you, Blind, I'm so happy you've found this story and enjoy it. Depicting the growing relationship between Eric and Nelson is a challenge for me, so I breathe a sigh of relief every time my editor and readers give a  to a chapter.

Nelson is doing his best to be responsible, but Eric isn't making it easy. :P  But like you say, communication is the key.

Yep, Rob the nosy and interfering brother is never far away from our thoughts.

I thought you might like the idea of Jazz on the beach, and like you say, we can always imagine him as a sexy adult. In fact, I tend to do this with most of the characters here, which is probably why they come across as quite sensible.

Thanks, CG, I'm glad the nerve-wracking first line (and last line of ch. 59) got resolved to your satisfaction. I have to admit it makes me a bit proud if their later antics got you a bit hot. ;)

Yeah, Eric and Nelson are the romantics of this story. Let's hope the Prom lives up to their dreams - and to my readers' expectations.

We may end up with a whole collection of Rob T-shirts.

Yes, I agree with you about that. Jasper is a great friend and a good guy all around. To him Nelson is the brother he's always wanted, and he appreciates the loyalty and unconditional support which is Nel's trademark.

Sweet chapter, Tim. "What would Rob do?" was hilarious. I like these guys are taking things slow. The relationship should come first... pun intended :) . Cheers... Gary....
