Chapter 13
Liam grabbed his bag out of the trunk of the rental he was driving. Parking at Pearson Airport was just as crazy as he remembered from his last trip. Heading for the entrance, he followed the signs for the departure gates. Luckily, Terminal 1 wasn’t quite as busy as the one for international flights. Check-in was smooth, and he was soon sitting at his gate waiting to board a flight to Halifax.
Liam smiled when he thought of seeing Marty and his parents again. He’
Connor is an amazing man. He handled everything thrown at him and came out of with with humour and understanding. I think the Earth Mother did well with Hugh's mate. He'll keep the big guy from being so serious about himself.
Like others im worried about what might happen when the ex does try to find Connor. Having a pissed off cop after you could put the whole pack in danger
I laughed at Kellar's last statement. I think Tobyn might have some 'splainin' to do
Thank you for this, Gary. This chapter does a romantic soul good
Things were going so well until that ending! I enjoyed the talk with Maria. It's good to have a friend who only 'teases a little' The trip down memory lane was fun and the banter had me laughing. The only reason I'm not more upset about the ending is this is a memory, and Nel wasn't upset when he was talking to Maria, so I know they resolved this... somehow.
It can be so hard to stay positive when the world seems to be going to hell. I agree with you: one of our biggest failings is not learning from our mistakes.
Yes, Alek did do this for himself. Sometimes it takes people longer to make a decision than we would like, but something this big should always be made for yourself, not for others.
Thank you for another great review and all of your support, my friend.
I'm not sure if Liam is selfish as much as he is confused. He does love Alek, but he was hurt pretty badly by the man. That hurt doesn't wash away the love though, but it has make him wary. I think he would love to be able to just fall for Nathan, but he has been honest with himself and Nathan, that he's just not ready for that yet.
Thank you for your review and support BlindAmbition.
lol Jason would have been surprised to be sure.
From Liam's reaction, I think he would agree that he needs some space to breath before he makes any decisions.
Thank you for your review and support, B.
That is the question Liam seems to be struggling with too... does he trust Alek to stand up for them? For him?

I think, at this point, we don't know what Alek will do in the future, or why he came out when he did. Maybe a talk between the two men will give you more answers?
Thank you for your review and support, Lisa.
lol well the next two chapters have now been posted (I'm late on my review responses) so I hope things have progressed to your satisfaction
Thank you for your review and support, Dee.
I think it would be interesting to find out what would happen if Alek's father went after Liam in some way. It would be an interesting scene to say the least
Thank you for the review and support, B.
I agree with you, Liam needs to talk to Alek, if only because the unknown is bothering him so much. Who knows what will come of their talk. Even if it is closure, it might be worth it.
Thank you for your review and support, Tim.
There are a lot of reasons why Alek might not have told Liam what happened. The reasons you've mentioned are good ones. The next chapter will give you a better indication of his motivation.
Thank you for your review and support, Def
Although he has been hurt, Liam does still love Alek. That's a difficult emotion to ignore, and Liam being the kind man he is, is also worried about Alek. He knows Alek would be having a hard time, and his kind-hearted nature doesn't like to see anyone hurt.

Thank you, my friend. It was important that Alek come out, for himself. Yes, he loves Liam, but this was a decision he had to make for himself. Just like most tough choices, if you don't do it for yourself there is a higher chance of regression. Thank you for your review and all of your support, Gary.
