Hope everything goes smoothly from this point on. How you can actually manage to write with all this going on amazes me. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter of SOOTB, but please take time to breathe.

It always seems that when a person opens the emotional door, life just rushes right in. And that is not a bad thing, it is just a hard thing. Just try not to close it again

Poor little babies. We've had so many kittens born this year. Sweetheart lost her entire first litter within a week of their birth. Little Girl lost all 4 of her first littler at birth, one of them survived 5 minutes, and her 2nd litter all died within 4 weeks (of nothing obvious, they just weakened and died). All of my mamas have had at least one stillborn baby and one that has died by 2-3 weeks old. You don't think of cats having such a high 'infant moratlity rate.' I hope the little orange guy makes it. I think there is nothing sadder than seeing a mama cat all ready to nurse kittens and have all of her babies die.

Nice pics! You know, I don't think I have ever met a female yellow cat. All of mine have always been male and all of the kittens we have had that were yellow were male. You have beautiful cats! Nice big babies. They look very intelligent--and like they have some attitude. Beautiful.

Ok, I need happy distraction, so I am posting kitten pics. These are the babies I still have left. *sighs* I miss Butterscotch. Little Baby's long-haired black boy and her short-haird tiger girl. (callling them Handsome and Kitten) Sweetheart's 2 yellow boys and Little Baby's tiger girl. (The long-haired yellow boy is known as Big Boy and the short-haired one is Baby Boy) Sweetheart's Baby Boy, Little Baby's Tiger Girl and Handsome. This is Baby Boy, a pretty good pic of him. He has his mama's nose. Sweetheart, mama of the two yellow boys. Another pic of Sweetheart. This is Pretty Kitty Kitty, she is Sweetheart's mama.

Ok, I'm just going to whine a little here about nothing that terribly important. You know, I had what I considered to be a fairly decent idea for something for the Summer Anthology. So I started writing it and actually finished it--and it was more than twice the maximum word count. Ok, so no big deal. I just posted it as a story and went on with life. So then I had what I considered to be a fairly decent idea for something ELSE for the Summer Anthology. So I started writing it and actually finished it (which, believe me, is a miracle in itself since I have the attention span of a gnat at times and I get bored with my own words). But guess what? Bet you can't guess...really, try... IT IS OVER THE #&%@ WORD COUNT AGAIN! And I was REALLY SURE when I started writing it that I could manage it in 10,000 words. But apparently I needed a good 6,000 more words than that. Go figure... Ok, so it takes me at least a paragraph to say hello and I have absolutely NO CONCEPT of one-word answers... So I guess it was predictable. So now I have to come up with a THIRD idea for something for the Summer Anthology. Really, I am not that creative. I can barely come up with one idea--now I am working on my third one. *whines and goes back to the drawing bored muttering about having no life*

Has to feel strange as hell leaving somewhere you have been for five years. Moving is always such a mixed experience. There are always things to miss and things to look forward to. I'm glad you're taking your cats with you. Will be a whole new world for them. Hope your remaining time there goes well and quickly and that you have a safe trip.

I tried to post in the Story Announcements thread (for non-hosted authors) and it said I could not. Why is that? *whines* It took me FOREVER to post my story because NONE of my line breaks actually...well...broke and I had to go through everything line by line and edit it and... *breaks off and reaches for the tissue and a beer* So... Help?

These are the kittens that are in the "Kitten Room." Sweetheart's Kittens: (these are the youngest, 6 weeks old now): Long-haired boy Another little boy--he's the bravest of the yellow ones. Anothr little boy--he is very timid and doesn't really like to boe held. That's Sam he is climbing on--or trying to get off of, really. Her little girl--she looks black but she actually has white hairs all through her fur, giving her a brindled look. That gene is very strong in Sweetheart's family. Her mom, Pretty Kitty Kitty, has orange brindling with black and Sweetheart has that same orange brindling but with grey. Her sister, Babes, is black with orange and white brindling. Little Baby's babies (they are 7 weeks old now): Tiger girl - she is very naughty Long haired boy- he is the biggest and extremely shy. Black girl--she is the boldest of all the kittens. *smiles against your lips* You didn't miss my birthday. You couldn't miss my birthday because you are part of me and are always where I am. Love you, too, angel.
