Cool! I have a lot of poems, though, Terry. Appreciate any interest in them for sure.

I don't want to walk down the road wearing bear bells... the neighbors will think I'm crazy. I just want to be able to make noise when I need to. I stay on the road during my longer walks.

I know all about bear bells. It's why I thought of taking the school bell until I get a canned airhorn.

Grizzlies? No freaking way! I'm talking about black bears... they are bad enough.

Silly... I use a come hither look for the one on the left.

Absolutely. Bears don't like loud noises, and that bell is loud. I keep forgetting to get an air horn or bear spray, so this will do until I do. Bears are waking up now, or very soon, so I want to be prepared. I haven't seen one in a few years, but they are around.

5K walk today. I carried an old school bell in a shoulder pack in case I ran into any bears.

It was my very first anthology story, and I must admit I was nervous about it. I was writing CotT time, and it was a real stretch for me. Fortunately, it gave a boost to my courage and my confidence because the supportive comments received. Writing, at the best of times, bares us in ways I hadn't expected, but I have come to see that as a blessing. I own who I am as a writer. Thanks, buddy. These comments mean a lot to me. Cheers! Thank you, Terry. That conversation felt so real as I wrote it. Sometimes it is as if the characters speak through me, and I am just the conduit. And, as you know, I truly enjoy writing dialogue. I'm pleased you mentioned the mood. When people are first learning about each other, there is often this tension that ebbs and flows as 'deep' sharing happens. I wanted that to be present here. We are not an invisible minority... some twitter idiots (a surprising number) think LGBTQ+ makes up less than 1% of the population. Makes me angry that people are so misinformed... MONTREAL, Aug. 9, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - According to the recent Fondation Jasmin Roy survey "LGBT Realities", 13% of the Canadian population belongs to the LGBT community. Because they fear being rejected, hindered from progressing in their careers or mocked and bullied, 54% of LGBT respondents have not come out to their work colleagues, and 45% have not come out to their classmates. Reflection about gender identity and sexual orientation seems to begin earlier in life among individuals of the younger generations (15-24 years of age) and leads more quickly to acceptance and coming out. Proportionally, there are more bisexuals*, pansexuals, asexuals and/or transgendered or non-binary individual among young people (especially in those who are 15-24 years of age).

Really chilly here, so I skipped my long walk and only walked in the woods with Cookie. My throat and ear are itchy/scratchy, so I'm being careful.
