  1. Happy Sunday, all! Another day of grueling work ahead.
  2. Pretty much.
  3. Luckily, no trouble occurred. Took forever to get on site tonight, though.
  4. Unfortunately, Falkor isn't around to sneak in. He did it every chance he could when I was doing the front windows.
  5. Hey, Quilah! I'm really pleased you found this and liked it. It's a story I've revisited a few times myself. Jimmy is incredibly endearing to me. Thanks so much for leaving a comment. Hope I hear from you again... Cheers... Gary....
  6. My entire family room wall is now open to the elements. I am preparing it for three new windows to be put in... my son is going to help me on Monday and Tuesday, but I am on my own in getting as much done as I can.
  7. Busy busy busy... so busy... hey, all.

    Borderlands

Borderlands is a good title. I see my little farm as my world, with me as its center, yet it is visited by sights and sounds from the borderlands on a continual basis. Some of these come out at night, and it is with the blessing of the moon I can witness wondrous sights. These were stirring, Parker. Cheers.
  9. How goes the fair? Any stories to tell?
  10. He's proud of something. Hey, bro, and Mum in SC
  11. I've had some good meals at Olive Garden. Haven't been in a long time, though.
  12. Happy Friday, all.
  13. Wish someone would blow on my candle. Hey, Tink.
  14. Happy Birthday, Page!
  15. Thanks, Kris! It's mine too. Seriously, though, no matter how many times I reread chapters as readers comment, I am sucked right back into the Morningstar world.
  16. You've got my support. I will be submitting a third entry in the next few days. Still plenty of time, folks.
  17. He's a porterhouse, bone-in.
  18. A dedicated fan? I can always use one of those, Jim! While I live north of the city on a small farm, I lived in downtown TO for years, and grew up in Scarborough. I have a lot of friends who live in Uxbridge, Markham, Stouffville, Mount Albert, Sutton, Unionville etc. So, it was fun to write about areas I know so intimately (I actually lived on Highway 48 north for ten years). Covid really sucks, and I had some long covid issues, but got a clean bill of health from my doctor yesterday. He said the brain fog should continue to lift. As far as my other stories, I hope you give "Morningstar: The Malaise" a chance. I don't know if you like paranormal stories, but even if you don't, you should plunge into this one. In case you can't tell, I am really proud of it. I see you have been leaving chapter likes, and that is awesome... thank you... and there is also a place on the front story page to leave a 'Story Like/Reaction, as well as a story recommendation if you wouldn't mind. They really help bring new readers in. I'm always around if you have questions. Cheers... Gary....
  19. Hello, Mr. B.
  20. Thursday greetings, all! In case anyone was wondering, I wrote a 16,000 word western for the anthology. Hope to hear from you when it goes live.
  21. Same here. Fortunately, so far I've been able to post my anthology submissions without incident, but it was nerve-wracking. One more to go. HI, spikey.
  22. Aloha, Albert! I just had two comments on "Cards on the Table"... I do miss those guys.
  23. Regards to you too, Tony.
  24. Hi, Jim. I'm pleased to hear Cards, and Michael and Kendall mean something to you on a personal level. Congrats on having 21 years with your soulmate. This story means so much to me too, on a personal level. I spent a few months not able to write after contracting covid, but it appears I am back in the saddle again with three submissions to the fall anthology. I really don't know when my muse will point me back to CotT, but I have written many other stories since, and I hope you check them out at some point. If you leave me chapter likes or comments, or both, I will be able to track stories of mine you are reading, and that would bring light to my days. I appreciate this comment very much... it brings my thoughts back to these characters, and that is always a good thing. Cheers and thanks... Gary....
