  1. Aw ...really lovely Def! It has such warmth and sincerity. Just the things which enhance a lullaby!
  2. Thanka Lisa! Yes, any memory loss id worrisome, especially after being beaten by bats. But the loss he has of events from years ago has an extra dimension of possible repressed memories - which could signify something worse. Alex is going full bore - no stopping her now
  3. Maybe Rory will provide Robbie with the opportunity to avoid Fran's weekend and in some way be a catalyst to help him break it off with her. I didn't say I expected that to happen, just "maybe" ...hehe. Of course, Roryantics could have a negative effect with Nathan. Ah well, it gives us more reason to look for the next chapter!
  4. When someone is out of your life and you’ll never see or talk to them again, it’s sort of like they’re dead. “The Love Song of Jonny Valentine” - Teddy Wayne *** Twoey I had just finished breakfast and was checking my backpack, to make sure I had everything, when the doorbell rang. I heard Mom open it and say, “Well, good morning Erik! What brings you here so early?” I quickly stashed everything and ran out into the foyer just as I heard him say, “I'm driving Twoey to school. I

    Chapter 1

An interesting start ...O God, I didn't mean the pun Can't wait to see what the bank exec has up his sleeve ...or wherever. Next, please.
  6. Thanks CG! WOW, I can't believe you caught up already! Did you binge for two days? hehe Twoey and Erik, yeah ...not so good. As bad as Alex and David sounds, she has some background we don't know about yet and she will actually be good for where we want David to go. But it won't be an easy trip.
  7. Great chapter Carlos! I love the easy dialogue you write. It's all very natural and fits the age of whoever is speaking. It sure is one of you many strengths. Sounds like maybe somebody got busted for something. Anything to do with a Vette? I guess we'll have to wait to find out!
  8. Hey CG! Thanks, and I see you figured Johnson would be involved. Unfortunately - it only gets worse!! Dr. Keating might be able to pull the real issue out of David yet, if David gives him enough time. I think he's closing in on it. The trouble is, David has way more problems on his mind.
  9. Thanks CG! You weren't the only one to suspect Lanni and Deena being more than friends. Yeah, freak is right for Josiah. We'll see more of him too.
  10. Thanks Dayne! You surely could be correct about younger Burch and David. The symptoms fit. And if it's true, then David has more to overcome than the average kid confronting his orientation. He never says 'I don't think I'm gay,' but 'I can't be gay.' There's a subtle difference there. Liz certainly is not responsible for anything. While we can make some excuses for David's Father (I agree about 20/20 hindsight) David might not be so forgiving if he ever remembers.
  11. Thanks jess. This chapter is unsettling only because of what we want and expect to happen. But it's really quite logical for Twoey, who by now has decided David must be straight. Twoey is gay and wants a bf. He probably didn't choose the right one, but then Erik chose HIM, didn't he. spikey thinks Alex is nutso ...hehe. Well maybe it's what it'll take to shake David up. Who knows. It's Skinnyland for heaven's sake!
  12. Hey spikey! Twoey should certainly be having second thoughts about David ever coming around. He might not be straight, but what's the difference if your brain is preventing you from acting any other way. Maybe David needs a little nutso in his life. On the other hand, Twoey's choice of partner is suspect. But Twoey's brain seems to be blocking out a little too. Like Chapter 17, as Dayne pointed out. However it all proceeds, we seem to be on a collision course. Could be fun, if we have Randy's sense of humor.
  13. Two words: right on. Ch 17 said much about Erik. Of course David doesn't know any of that. But David DOES know Erik invaded his space, then put his hands on his body! Something which apparently is taboo. Twoey/Erik might not be so wonderful after all. Thanks Dayne!
  14. Thanks for the great comments Carl! You've clearly identified some of Erik's dangers. It will be interesting (or frightening) to watch Twoey/Erik play out. It looks like you're right about David not realizing how Twoey doing exactly what he suggested was going to affect him. He's sort of coming apart. Yep. Help is what he needs. Now, will he get it?
  15. Thanks for the comments Parker! What you propose in the first paragraph could be correct, especially if David is straight. Of course, if he's in the closet, he doesn't seem to know where the closet is. But there could be more to that story too. Yeah, no stopping Alex now. see reply to oxala re: Erik's sin.
  16. Thanks oxala! Erik dropped onto David's s**t list the minute he invaded David's space and put his hands on his body. We'll see more reaction to uninvited hands on his body ahead. David is trying to exorcise his hate (notwithstanding his judgment of Erik) and so asked for the pin removal. David will get a new helper. Putin is no help going forward. But you'll never guess who it will be.
  17. Hey CG! It's so rewarding to see a notification for one of your reviews. You're right about David's misunderstanding of his need to control. We may get some insight in to this later ...way later. David has made lots of blunders without you around to give him direction! But I hope you'll enjoy the ride. There are some dark chapters ahead, but also some funny ones. Well, you know how it is in Skinnyland.
  18. It's still a slap in the face to the memory of a man who championed citizens rights to honor one who so calculatedly trampled on them. Wouldn't you know the Koch Bros. are behind this attempt to canonize another hack. (Hmmm ...sounds like a familiar MO. Ronald Reagan anyone? Maybe Spiro Agnew will be next.)
  19. A lovely and varied week Parker! I particularly liked April 7. (Perhaps it hit too close to home?) I always enjoy your poetry! It'll be quite a Mo.
  20. Experience, the name men give to their mistakes. 'Vera; or, The Nihilists' - Oscar Wilde *** Tommy The day began with cheerful news for me! A phone call from my brother! He called this morning before breakfast. Actually, I was drying off from my shower when it chimed. I was wondering who the hell could it possibly be, calling so early in the morning. I stopped wondering when I heard his voice. “Tommy, will you do me a favor and clear some stuff out of my room?” I chuckled. “A

    Chapter 9

It seems things might come to a head during the upcoming year. Their feelings are too strong to limp along like last year. Probably some fireworks, for good or bad, about to explode. Thanks for sharing this!
  22. Well, living together or not, the boys certainly are doing everything as though they are a married couple. Even a baby shower - yikes! But it was good to see they consummated their 'un-marriage' Another great chapter Rex!
  23. Well, since he was responsible for the Virginia Declaration of Rights, upon which the Bill of Rights was modeled, I can understand why they figure he should be replaced by Scalia.
  24. So is it true, after receiving an anonymous $30 million donation, they wanted to rename the George Mason School of Law to honor the recently deceased justice? And the name chosen was the Antonin Scalia School of Law. ASSOL or, I suppose, ASSLaw to avoid embarrassment. Shit! You can't make this stuff up!
  25. Thanks Def! I think Randy and Alex have that kind of relationship, where they always try to get under each other's skin. Randy sure got the issue on the table fast enough! I think you may be correct that Gary bringing the issue to Ginny (and his Father) was the best thing he could do for David - even if Tommy always calls him Gutless. Unfortunately, an event will take place Monday (David time) in the nearby hills that'll shake everything up. (It's posted in the Gallery already.)
