    Thanks for your great comments Def! Well it's only been a day and word isn't completely (or accurately) out yet. Daleville is too small for a paper or radio station, so it's just the gossip wire. Hence the snail's pace. David will be back online (with us) pretty soon. It'll be interesting to get his take on all this, or WHICH David will even be there. (Gasp) Maybe Matty's news was the biggest! But then, will our Matty REALLY be able to turn down temptation?

    Thanks jess! Yeah, David is firmly on Earth, albeit a little drugged up. You can be sure Grampa is aware of everything. Aunt Sarah probably talks to him hourly ...hehe. David's father might be in a little shock too.

    Thanks Dayne! You have some very good and true comments in your first paragraph. I hope we get to see some of what you suggest. I think you're right about Matty too, although I can't see him brushing aside temptation whenever it presents itself, at least not for now. I don't think it's in his DNA. But we can always hope he matures. Maybe Martin will be his savior, if he'll just get rid of his damn straight side.

    Thanks lux! Alex got the bulletin before Lanni and Deena, who will respond in the next chapter. There's much more to Alex than we've seen so far. The timing of this thing just happened to hit while she was in the middle of her first ever crush.

    Thanks Parker! I hope the chapter didn't have too much "radio chatter" but we sort of need to see this from lots of sides. For me, the two major mysteries are the attack and mother dearest. As you said, it is possible the attack was directed by PPF, but we know the van was tracking him before his ninja exploits. So did PPF use whatever they were going to do (exorcise him?) as cover for actually killing him? How would that have affected the attack boys? - Yikes! His mother's motives are absolutely not clear. She must really hate her family, or she's sick. If she's sick, maybe it's better she's gone. I don't think there is local media in Daleville, except for the Gossip Express.

    Thanks spikey! Good stuff from you too! Most of your first paragraph is pretty plausible. The question you ask in the second is the real mystery. Were they just going to beat out his demon? Did the boys get fooled into a murder plot thinking it was the demon beating they may have been plotting all along? Poor Alex. I know (pukes) ...but she will be important to David. Just in a little teen flutter right now.

    Thanks for the comments Def! That WAS a bit over the top. Were they trying to beat the demon out of David, or did PPF only use it as an excuse to get two boys to actually kill David, to get him out of the way? What if they did kill David? What would it have done to the boy's lives. How could they go forward with that memory haunting them. The woman is a mystery. No description seems to fit.

    Nice chapter MrM! You are exposing a lot of new dimensions to Jamie and giving us a plausible explanation for his actions in Billy. That's really well done. Of course, we also see more of Brandon's strengths along the way. He becomes much greater than just the pretty face Billy is always obsessing over. I love these chapters!

    Duplicate Paws should have been the title. Or duplicate tails, or muzzles, or barks, or piles of ...OK that's going too far! What a great little surprise Gary! Coming right on the heals of the surprise of Michael "cooking" and the suddenly warm Candy. So the story moves relentlessly toward the day when a baby arrives and another day when Nate's parents do, to take him back. dugh is right, after the New Year and over the subsequent months the new house will be full of family and life! Another Great chapter! You make each one a pleasure.

    Another great chapter Dayne! There was so much witty and downright funny stuff and everything was rolling so nicely, when I noticed the side bar and realized the chapter was nearly over without one of your hot sex scenes! But thank God "problem solved" when you pulled them off nicely at the climax of the chapter!

    Jackson's advice could give Luke courage, but not in what Jackson is thinking. It was nice having J listening to and absorbing Luke's fear and desires re: schooling. I notice he's being more natural around Luke lately, which in itself is a good development for him, no matter what happens. A nice "developmental" chapter Krista! A Great story!

    Thanks for the review and comments Parker! David definitely was outmatched and outgunned in the conflict he assumed was solely with PPF. Assumptions like that can get you killed, and almost did. Luckily he had an agent even he was unaware of The attack will leave our little hero mixed inside though but ready for his next trial.

    Gary!! If these chapters are gonna continue to get hotter, you have to give us (ahem) warning so we can take (ahem) proper precautions! It was wonderful to read the consummation of this horribly delayed love affair. I think hot stuff and Martha are on their way to a long and rewarding relationship. They each have the right attitude and were similarly previously deprived ...by the same witch's spell it turns out.

    Hey Mitchelll ! Thanks for the comment. David fell into something even he didn't envision, so yeah it was pretty awful. Sometimes you need to be careful when you back a dangerous animal into a corner.

    Hey Spikey! Yes you were pretty close. D2 sort of exposed himself to PPF at exactly the wrong time, since the van was already tracking him pretty closely. Everything converged sooner than he was ready. As you'll soon discover, things took another twist just out of our view. And Sam already did something. He must have not been in his usual haze today.

    Thanks oxala. Probably not the right chapter to read before bedtime. D2 should probably vanish now. His job is done, he got David beaten badly. Yikes. G2 -- God I think everyone has HAD it with the '2s' by now. It's time for the real battle. Alex vs. Valkyrie. A little mud wrestling always lifts the spirits.
