  1. I use the print screen feature on my laptop - handy for only posting what you want of the pic - and copy/paste it right into the text box. That’s the only way i can get it to work. Plus, I think the images are smaller kb that way. Have fun at the zoo!
  2. Hope you feel better soon. gentle hugz
  3. Good night molly...happy dreams
  4. Good morning everyone, I come to you today with this service alert. American peaches - also sold in Canada - are under a recall order due to Salmonella contamination. Wouldn’t you know it, I bought peaches for the first time this past week... That is all, so please carry on with your day. I hope it’s a good one for you.
  5. I’ve got to live up to my name, so a reader, I shall remain. I’m very visual: in doing, in seeing, and in remembering. When I read poetry, or anything really, it’s as if there is a play carrying on in my mind’s eye. Seeing things that way affects my interpretations, I’m sure, but as I am free to interpret as I see fit, I am happy.
  6. Good night tim...sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
  7. I didn’t like having to find the meaning of something, and stressing would I get it right or would I get it wrong. Frankly, it was pure drudgery in those days. It’s much nicer to read it now. Even if a meaning alludes me, I can still find satisfaction in appreciating the skill of the poet.
  8. So sorry, Fae. I know this wasn’t the news you were hoping for.
  9. I found that reasoning to be liberating. Poetry ceased being a chore to read, because it didn’t matter that I didn’t get it “right” because I thought one thing while the poet - according to some scholar - thought something else entirely. And, this is how it should be. I’d even go as far as saying with surety more people would like poetry if this were so.

I remember - not when, but that you did - when you said this to me. It was if a light had been turned on. Before that day, poetry had always been presented as the artist’s interpretation of the words. My job was to figure out what that interpretation was. Giving me “permission” to interpret the words as I saw fit freed me to see the wonder and joy in poetry. A great gift that was, young tim.

The words will come out when they’re ready as they did today. They wanted to be just right, I think.

tim, your words bring about such powerful feeling . I was feeling kind of sad and hopeless reading them, and then on a dime, my thoughts turned to smiles and a feeling of “yes!” and relief. There is something (very) good behind the clouds that lifted. As always tim, you make me see and feel with your words. Nicely done.
  14. One thing to be aware of when wearing a mask: make sure you don’t put it on upside down. Went grocery shopping this morning, and put my ask on while sitting in the car. It didn’t feel quite right - top and bottom look about the same, imo - and it was fogging up my glasses. I opened the mirror on the visor to have a better look to determine what the issue was. Sure enough, the Canadian flag on the tag was upside down...oops. It’s amazing how well it fits when it’s the right way round. Edit: The mask itself is solid black.
  15. Oh, now that was a good one!
  16. Good night @rickproehl @Mikiesboy and the rest of you DiCers The sweetest of happy dreams one and all...
  17. All you can do is do your best, and know you did a good thing trying to help someone. It’s on him that he couldn’t, or wouldn’t, see kindness and compassion being directed his way. Hold your head up high, rick. You did good, my friend.
  18. My thoughts are with you and your Mom.
  19. I’ve tried risotto before, but didn’t really care for it. Is this one of those foods that all “recipes” are not created equal? Also, I scrolled to the bottom and found this recipe. I want an InstaPot just to try it. https://damndelicious.net/2018/03/23/sun-dried-tomato-parmesan-biscuits/
  20. I’m sorry you had to go through that worry, but what a relief your test was negative. Hang in there, k.
