It sounds like Max and Michael are developing a long-lasting friendship. So that you know, I googled the restaurant Pepe Nero you went to to see the menu. Of course, it made me very hungry. I also took a detour to see some of the shops in The Village. What a great place to go Christmas Shopping!
You will get a great series of vampire stories out of this. Justin is currently on Book 3 of the series with much more still to rewrite. This first one sets up the background for the rest of the stories and establishes the main characters. Don't give up if you don't see a fang. There will be plenty in the future. I don't normally read vampire stories, but this one got me hooked; it's that good.
I honestly don't know about the history of Max's temperament. The only other Boot story Stacy and he are characters in is The Boot-Three Years On. Your comment interested me, and maybe @Mancunian can give us some background on how Max and Stacy met. It might include discovering more about Harry's Mikey and his best friend, Brad. Hmm...
The steward's decision that the crutches were "offensive weapons" was ridiculous. I'm betting that there were a lot of things on the fairground and people there that could also be used to hurt someone physically. I'm also looking forward to seeing the party planned by Stacy and Brad for the boy's birthday.
I am glad you mentioned Liam. He's a feisty little guy who isn't shy but sensitive to being hurt by something like this. It was great to see how the whole group understood that and helped him recover from that nasty incident. He very much wants to walk again. With his fighting spirit and the support of everyone, hopefully, he will succeed.
It's one of the reasons I like Max. He exists as proof that the common beliefs about gays are stupid ideas of those who have no education or understanding. Max and all the gay characters are realistic portrayals of gays. None of them fit the 'common beliefs'.
Yeah, I know, I'm bad. I was posting late and tried to cover my tracks. Leave it to you to catch me on that. I wonder if Spenser's shop might start getting clients wanting to restore classic cars as a result of Charlie's work on the Mini and Joe's Triumph.
Hey Boy, Are you OKbois? I'm surprised no one has mentioned Vann's Morgan in the horse comments. Great HEA for Caleb and his family. I'm looking forward to the next HEA. Thanks for this awesome series of stories @kbois! Thanks to all your horsey helpers, too. I do hope someone takes up the slack it's going to leave in my life. I'll miss reading the chapters that have been posted by you weekly (or almost weekly).
Merry Christmas to All!
Hmmm. I'm all ears. You can tell me the story about your young man anytime. It does seem that neither of you applied the brakes in the back of your station wagon.
My hope is that he has learned the lesson. Young people often make mistakes. I would like to imagine that he has learned from this and will not lose his job.
Max is very protective of everyone, not just his cubs. It is one of the reasons that I respect Max so much. From the very start of the story, when he defended Charlie and Michael from Max's own employees, he has been one of my favourite characters.
Even with the trouble caused by the supercilious prig, the evening was upbeat. I was very happy that Liam ended up having a great time. He is a very special character who brings fun into the lives of his friends and family.
I would be just as mad as Max! To do something like that to Liam, who is struggling so hard to walk again, is almost criminal! I hope the steward has learned a lesson and grows up, @donjr101
Dang! You just love catching me off guard Mancunian! You knew I was out for a Christmas party and didn't warn me you were posting tonight! Just wait, I'll get my revenge. Remember, revenge is best served cold.
