hello Sirs and friends Central Texas suffering through our first cold snap of the year freeze warnings again tonight hope everyone had a good day

hello Sirs and friends busy day at work not much time to read what's going on here but on myb way home now with Phil so i have just a minute to stop by and say hello

it's cold, wet & nasty here too we have freeze warnings & the home improvement stores are selling out of winterization stuff i, however, am choosing to be grateful fir a good job, warm house & cafe con dulce de leche ☕ 💓

it's time

it was an ok day spent it with some people Phil knows at the Veteran's Day Remembrance Parade in Fredericksburg, Tx i don't know most of these people, so for a time i was on my own, left out of conversations it's ok, that happens but there was this little tiny older lady making her way to one of the "Women Vets" floats i walked with her, turns out she's a Marine, and served in Vietnam. she was fascinating. talked to a few of those women, one was a captain, Korea and Vietnam era. dealing with supply chain issues. it was wonderful to see them get recognition. 3 floats full of Korean era vets shook my hand. Phil spent some time with a float full of "Peacetime Vets" they also call themselves "Cold War Era" He rode on a float with His friends, they're all reenactors representing Texas history not sure if it's because it was small town Texas or the fact that the National Museum of the Pacific War is there, but there were people 2 and 3 deep for the whole of the parade route. Kids, older folks, whole family groups, it was so nice to see. anyway, it was an ok day, thanks for asking A!

i need to stay up to get Number One from work at 11:30 CST but i think it's time for the lights to dim for the night

the best example of collaborations i've seen in a long while are the Exquisite Corpse poems started by @MacGreg He's done several with tim, @Mikiesboy and one with @Freerider all of them are breathtaking especially when you realize that communication is limited i'd love to see other writers try things like this you can read them here

morning all cold and groggy here this morning, and i'm glad i remembered what my GA password was @Carlos Hazday good to see you again, so glad you could stop by @Reader1810 and @Mikiesboy and @BHopper2 it's cold here too, 45 F, 7 C not so much windy, and just wet and cold here, i still need to hit up the Second Saturday Marketplace and the farmers market, i'm hoping for some nice vegetables for soup
