    so glad to hear that today was better for you, rick! mine was ok, our CEO made his monthly visit, AND it was birthday cake day i am really tired tonight though, so i pulled out my back up meal so i didn't have to cook, and now i'm sitting with a blackberry mead and my online jigsaw puzzles

    it was really good actually! we're getting ready for our monthly visit from the CEO, so we had a work party to hang some new white boards in the conference rooms and de-clutter the lab space i also met with my manager again to come up with new strategies for dealing with some of my engineers..... 👍

    i do like this chapter very much! fierce friends, like Brian, can be a pain in the arse, but also a great gift. someone who will ALWAYS have your back and watch out for you, even when you can't. this arc, with Troy patiently supporting Grant, is a favorite. we've seen Grant reach out and "save" Troy; but it seems now that they are saving each other. not saying that there isn't going to be more for Grant to work through with this epiphany, but Troy seems willing to be there to help him figure it out. and am i the only one who noticed the last line?
