    Chapter 22

The day felt surreal. Bailey had left early that morning to meet up with his team for the trip to the gymnastics meet. Coach Richards was already waiting by the activity bus, even though Bailey thought he was early. What surprised him was the appearance of another adult, Mr. Kirkland, looking a little tired and holding a large cup of coffee. The sight of his English teacher triggered a bout of panic. Had he finished grading the essays? Would he say anything about it? How badly

Omg, LOL. Okay okay, no need to sacrifice the poor virgins! While the muse isn't playing nice right now, I keep hoping she'll come pound down my door soon. However, I now have my husband nudging me ( okay, shoving me) to try to get her moving, especially after I read him these comments. I have half a chapter done, so I'm aiming for one by the end of the weekend.... little busy running kids to play practice, gymnastics practice and Ninja competitions. Seems like it never let's up, I thought it would be better after they went back to school... Thanks all for keeping me on my toes and motivated. ..especially since miss muse is on vacation. ..
  4. Congratulations! They were great stories!
  5. My husband would definitely agree with the 'bringing out the madness in people"
  6. Actually, I'm an INFJ... maybe that Feeling part is why I torture so many of my characters...

    Chapter 1

Opening the door to my apartment, I immediately notice all the lights are out. Goosebumps prickle my arms. I curse under my breath as I try to tamp down my anxiety. "Damn it. He did it again." My roommate has a habit of turning off all the lights, even though I've asked him repeatedly not to. My fear of dark rooms had been thoroughly inbred by my step-father—his version of 'time-out' was a quiet dark closet. So even though I was eighteen, I still had the irrational fear of dark closed
  8. Woody has just started collage as a botany major where he's glad to be out from under his parents' domain. Now free to explore his sexuality, he's been dating Sam for the last couple weeks, although he's wondering about his shy roommate's interest as well. He's suppose to be going out with Sam on Halloween night, but his roommate doesn't want him to go. He's caught in between.
  9. Thank you all 😀. I have considered using speech to text recently because of this horrible block. It's a good idea. Thanks.
  10. It seems like I'm saying it a lot lately, but I'm sorry for no new updates. I had hoped to get back into a groove, but so far... nothing. Sadly, it's not like I don't know what I want to happen, but every time I sit down in front of the computer to put anything down... I'm struggling to find the right words. Bailey and Declan haunt me nightly to finish their story. I'm constantly falling asleep to their story (and sometimes Kayden's next one ). I even thought trying out a story for the halloween thing would help, but while I managed a short one for that. Bailey and Declan still seem to evade being put into writing. I do so appreciate all the wonderful comments and encouragement. And, as I said before, I will finish--I just don't know when. I'm so sorry. I just thought everyone should know that I haven't forgotten it. I'm just... stuck.

    Chapter 21

--Bailey— Bailey woke up the next morning confused as to what day it was. It took him several moments to remember it was Friday, and he had only spoken to the Headmaster about Chris and Eric yesterday morning. It seemed like it had been days ago with how worn out he was feeling. Last night, he had suffered through his mom's scolding for not telling her about the bullying, as well as Daniel's advice for handling any repercussions. He had had to relive the assault again for the secon

    Chapter 20

--Bailey-- Bailey didn't even look up, but he heard Declan freeze on the steps. "You're right," he repeated. When he didn't hear any response or movement from Declan, he finally lifted his eyes. Declan just stared at him, waiting. "I know that. But I really just... I just don't care about Chris or Eric or their bullshit right now." Declan's eyes darkened with understanding. "Got better things to worry about?" Bailey's lips thinned into a tight line before he nodded jerkily,

    Chapter 18

Sorry it took so long to get the next chapter posted. It's been busy with the girls home during the summer, plus I've had some serious writer's block, although reading everyone's comments helps a lot to work through some of that! Thank you all so much for the likes and comments!!! Just to address a couple of comments.... Chris's parents do live farther away, but they also are 'jet-setters' so are off in their own world (as mentioned in the next chapter). That, of course, doesn't preclude Chris or Eric from attempting any type of revenge .

    Chapter 19

--Bailey— Bailey rubbed at his eyes with his thumb and forefinger. He'd managed to keep his emotions in check, but the looks of pity from around the table were almost too much. He was stronger than this. He knew he was. When the Dean had whispered to the headmaster after receiving a notification on his phone, a break had been called. Bailey had relaxed enough to pick at the muffin Mrs. Tardin had set in front of him. Everyone else had stood up and stretched, milling around the

I'm almost done with the next chapter... just suffering from major writer's block.. sorry. The kids go back to school in a couple weeks so I'm hoping I'll get back into my grove then. Their summer activities are throwing me off. I'll aim for this weekend if I can get it to my editors... Thanks for keeping on me!

  18. Thank you all so much for the Birthday Wishes!!! Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. I've been checking in from my phone, but I tend not to respond from it as I hate typing much on the tiny keyboard. Running kids around now that summer is here has been keeping me busier than I thought. It's noiser in the house too, so I can't seem to concentrate to write much either. But promise to finish Ripped sooner or later! Thanks again!

    Chapter 18

--Declan— This morning he waited for Bailey under the bleachers in Bailey's favorite spot. He was nervous, debating whether he should tell Bailey about going to the dean and headmaster yesterday. He didn't want Bailey to be blindsided, but he also didn't want Bailey to be pissed at him either. Maybe the dean wouldn't tell Bailey who'd told. Even so, Declan would know, and he couldn't keep that from Bailey. He looked up as he heard footsteps. Bailey's face lit up when he saw

    Chapter 17

In Part 1, chapter 1, it is mentioned that Declan's roommate and suitemates know he is gay. So that is why Micah would know. "Knowing it probably wouldn't matter and putting himself out there for everyone to know were two different things. While his parents already knew, he didn't feel the need to advertise it at school. He'd told his roommate and suitemates, but since he'd decided to focus on his grades and football and not looking for a hook-up, he didn't think it was anyone else's business who he was attracted to."

    Chapter 17

I think I've fixed the technical issue. Thank you drpaladin for messaging me about it so I could take a look. It appears somehow an odd break ended up in there. Hope viewing it is better now.

    Chapter 17

Declan stopped by the Auxiliary gym after his own practice that afternoon to find the gymnastics team still there working. Bailey was on the floor and actually noticed him peeking in the small window. After a quick glance around, Bailey had trotted over to the nearby water fountain, waving him in. Declan slunk into the gym, earning himself a few sharp glances from the rest of the team. He edged along the wall to where Bailey fiddled with a loose piece of athletic tape wrapped around his
