I didn't go much into the father's death, but now that I'm approaching the end, I'm thinking of somehow going back and adding more details about Eddie and Bryan's childhood with their father--maybe a flashback or something.

There is a bit of psychological torture going on there, along with the passive physical torture. And yeah there was the hint in this chapter that eventually causes it all to unravel for Carol...

Hehe, Bryan could probably easily get Eddie to tell him...if he had any clue that Eddie knew anything. As far as Bryan knows, Eddie's been safe at his facility 2 hours away--and Bryan hasn't really told Eddie about Wyatt since he doesn't want Eddie worried about him being sad.

She's definitely not keeping Eddie around for the whole week, or Wyatt might have enough time to convince Eddie to help him.

I agree that probably the biggest reasons are what Graeme said. Having started so many unfinished stories (mostly on other sites) makes me determined not to do that. I either have the story totally done (or within a couple chapters) before posting at all. Lately, though, I've started a story and just made sure I'm 3-4 chapters ahead of what I'm posting, so that I can still post each week, even if I have a week where I didn't get anything written. Knowing I have a story out there posted, waiting to be finished, has actually been pretty motivating for me to make sure I take time for me each week to do what I love to do.

MD has just her perfect family in mind and neither Eddie nor Wyatt fit well into it (which is why Eddie was sent away as soon as his father died). There's definitely a lot more gut wrenching to go!

I love all the guesses on what everyone thinks is going to happen next! There certainly isn't going to be an easy ending here, not with MD wrecking havoc in Bryan, Wyatt and Eddie's life... And right now, I'm trying to post on Sundays and Thursdays (at first it was just the weekend, but then I got far enough ahead to post a couple chapters a week--less time to wait:) )

As everyone has guessed, MD is certainly not mother of the year. Eddie just wants to please everyone and make everyone happy, especially Bryan--and his mother knows that. Ch. 11 will reveal a lot of answers to some questions everyone is asking, as Wyatt meets his abductor...
