  1. Chapter 24 The minute his uncle had deemed them far enough out, Casey had stripped and dove into the water, the tingling itch that had begun to plague him soothed immediately as he transformed. For some reason, his uncle had allowed him over an hour of freedom, following him idly in the boat instead of calling him back when he strayed too far. Casey thought maybe this little concession was in response to his small demands last night. His mer side called to him to forget everything else an
  2. Thank you so much!
  3. thank you. I actually had just 'wrist' at first but changed it I'll fix it because I think you're right it's better without the s.
  4. Chapter 23 Shawn woke to Casey squirming restlessly in his arms. The small whimpering sounds from Casey jerked him to alertness; he sounded scared, panicked. "No, no, please," Casey pleaded pitifully, arching against Shawn's arms wrapped around him protectively. "No, please, I need..." "What do you need, sweetheart?" Shawn sat up slightly, trying to soothe Casey from the throes of his nightmare. "T-to change," Casey whispered in an almost child-like voice. "Please, sir, I need the moo
  5. Poetry Prompt #10: Italian Sonnet Secret Crush He flew through the still air like an angel muscles bulged, face hard in concentration, slowly levering through a rotation. I never knew he could be so graceful. He hung on those rings so high and frightful. I stared, watched in awe and frustration. Why had I viewed him in degradation Thinking him both weak and his sport shameful? But then with a final flip and a twist, his hands sl

  10. so glad you liked it!
  11. I just see Garin doing something like that...
  12. Working on? Not yet... Thinking about... yes...
  13. I do actually see Garin and Ysmenia as parental types to Kayden. They probably even see Damien like a son to them...
  14. As for moving to the castle, well, I think that's going to be a major focus for the next story--Damien becoming king...
  15. Yes, usually the shorts are more upbeat and funny, but sometimes I think I need to show more than just the HEA. Glad you enjoyed it.
  16. A sad one yes, but like you said, it is something that Kayden would probably still suffer from, even as happy as he is now.
  17. Normally the shorts are sweet and funny, but this is also a part of who they are, and both will probably have some residual nightmares from the past.
  18. Prompt #420: First Line-- "He put his hand where?" Caught "He put his hand where?" Ellis asked in surprise. "You heard me," Ysmenia snapped back. "And you saw him doing it?" "No, but his hand was still all sticky, and he looked guilty as hell, as he always does when he gets caught." Ysmenia grinned. "He was even still licking his hand clean. Gave me those big green innocent eyes," she muttered. "Like I don't know what he was up to." Ellis watched the older woman furiously mix a

    Chapter 21

Oh, Thomas would definitely have despised Martin for what he's doing now. I'm glad you liked the chapter. I'm sure you'll enjoy the next one.

    Chapter 21

I think Martin did love Thomas in his own way. I think Thomas would have kept Casey safe, but Martin was already showing his jealousy at Thomas's love for Casey early. So it might have come down to Thomas and Martin fighting it out in some way had Thomas survived. And yes, the full moon in the cove will definitely not be a normal night.

    Chapter 21

You are absolutely right. I did think that using the Nobel prize might be too much, but also figured it was a highly recognized scientific award that everyone would know. But it is probably too much of a stretch. I had researched others, but they weren't as 'notable' so I wasn't sure if they'd have much impact. But I don't think it matters much what the prize is that Martin is delusionally thinking he'll get, the main point is that he's willing to expose Casey and use him to get fame and fortune. I'll work on changing that. Thanks for bringing that up, I'm sure other would think the same thing (of course, Martin is delusional enough to think he could just waltz in and they'd hand it to him too )I think you're right to guess something may be up on the full moon...
  23. Chapter 22 With the interruption by Martin, Shawn hadn't really done much more than dart in the closet and hide behind the door. Now that he had time to really look around, he was shocked at how big it was. It was like a whole other room, even if there wasn't that much in it. There was a rack that held a few shirts and slacks. Several pairs of deck shoes, flip flops and sandals lined the floor. A dresser was also against one wall, which explained why he hadn't seen one in the main room.
  24. This one is so tempting for kayden...
