Henry's POV Part 2 - Love Bites
Robert Rex commented on kuragari129's story chapter in Henry's POV Part 2 - Love Bites
Nice to see the budding friendship/romance--looking forward to the next chapter! -
Thanks for the compliment, Skinny! After the intensity of the battle dream, I really did want a "balance" to the chapter, and I'm glad the growing relationship comes through loud and clear. Of course, the ending nightmare is truly a nightmare. Also, very glad you aren't afraid of cliffs.... THANK YOU for the kind words and ongoing commitment to the story!

Thanks, Mike! Glad you enjoyed it--even the cliffy! Next chapter out soon... THANK YOU for the generous comments, and the ongoing support. I appreciate you!

Chapter 58 You Can't Win Without Trust
Robert Rex commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 58 You Can't Win Without Trust
What a great, fun chapter! You really covered a lot of territory here, and made it look easy. The growing romance with Brodie, the intro of the puppies, the developing parenting skills...you did well here! Good job! -
What a great start to what's certain to be an intriguing story! In one fell swoop, you gave us the history of the characters, their relationships to each other, solid portraits of their personalities, and then shoved us into major drama that has both a temporary resolution but something of a cliffhanger--with us wondering what'll happen next. Now THAT's efficient writing! Can't wait to see where you take this.....

You had me giggling (!) at a couple of points: 1) the "teenager" talk you nailed perfectly; monosyllabic is a perfect description and Joseph's "he might be my boyfriend" was perfectly phrased, and 2) "take me to bed and prove to me that you're gay. (That line is so good if I ever get the opportunity, I'm gonna use it. A guy can dream, right?) Regardless, this was a fun, great chapter, full of energy, and plenty of potential plot lines are here to be used. You did well!

Thanks for the kind words, Zenith! Clayton and Ryan certainly are an interesting couple, each a strong man in his on right, unafraid to be open, direct, and deal with problems head on. If there's such a thing as "meant to be", it's those two! And, the robber doesn't know what he's walked into--but even snowballs in hell make a mess before they're gone! Thanks for reading along--I appreciate your support!
-
"King Cliffie"? I'm not sure that's a title I want! You're absolutely right--Ryan and Clayton have a definite bond that'll work through anything. And you're also right that the gunman picked the wrong bar and wrong people--God help him when Dave gets there! Glad you're enjoying the story--and THANK YOU for both your comments and your solid support.

I think you got this nailed, Daddy...Ryan's brain is still working through things, and is bring more and more details to light. If there's PTSD, his willingness to deal with it head on--and openly discuss it with Clayton--is a great thing! And you're right again--the second nightmare has repercussions...which you'll see in the next couple of chapters. THANK YOU for sticking with the tale, and your comments. I appreciate you!

Thanks, Cole! The dreams are obviously filling in more and more of what Ryan "remembers" from that event. And this particular dream provided information he'd not had before. (He'd said before he had little memory of how he'd lost his legs.) Of course the other concern is PTSD--delayed responses to trauma aren't unusual. We'll see. Thank you for the compliment on the description of the battle--really an honor coming from a wordsmith like you. And, glad you're enjoying the tension of the last scene. THANK YOU for the kind words--and your support!

Interesting turn of events! Nice that Casey isn't holding it over Curtis' head, but you'd think Curtis wouldn't be such a dick about it all. Where's the gratitude? Friendship? Nothing. Tells me that Curtis still has lots to deal with inside that think noggin of his! At least Lane is satisfied and not threatened by the relationship with Shade. Good move on Casey's part. Gotta give Casey credit, he's showing lots of maturity. Another good chapter!
-
Thanks, Parker! And promise the chapter is coming soon--I hate cliffhangers as much as you--so I'm hoping (not promising) the next chapter in a couple or three days. THANK YOU for continuing along with the story!
-
Thanks, Mikey! These two make a great pair, each one taking care of the other. And, let's face it, it was a "moment of truth" for Ryan to reveal his recurring dreams, but was also something of a revelation to Ryan of the subtle ways Clayton takes care of him. Promise the next chapter is on its way. But, there's more detail of this situation first.... THANK YOU for sticking with the story, and your continued support. I appreciate you!

I should have made that clearer--Clayton got those! After all, you've got to have "good" flip-flops, as well as everyday wear. Thanks for reading through the tale--and the input! I appreciate it!

Flames are everywhere, and there’s no one in the Humvee but me. I know it’s about to explode. Big and small explosions are all around—maybe targeting the Humvees behind us. Somehow manage to get the door open, and fall onto the ground with my rifle’s strap around my neck. Can’t stand; why aren’t my legs working? Shots in the sand near my head tell me I can’t stay here. Moving toward the back of the Humvee, gotta use hands and elbows to grab at the sand. Grab the collar of the guy who was

GREAT chapter! So much happening here. Nice to at least have a say at his former employer's office. And now the big mystery is what coach is gonna do. What a fun story you've crafted! Really enjoying myself in it!

Fun chapter ... but there's something oddly sinister to this whole banking environment. Jose said something along the lines of "Mr. Phillips got you--and I can see why". I'm almost expecting Richard to become a sex slave due to missed payments, and being whored out in the bank's basement! Of course, Richard's fantasies are such he might get into that! Regardless of my speculation, it's a good read--and I'm looking forward to more!

Thomas is certainly a piece of work! And, a somewhat typical high-schooler A-lister. But, he'll find he's a little fish in a big pond at Tech. His targeting of Shane is also typical...using Shane to get to the one he really wants. We'll see. Nicely done--look forward to the next chapter!
-
Nicely done chapter! Bryce certainly took a chance, but misinterpreted the initial response. (When you don't get kissed back, you know it.) Thankfully, Devin really doesn't have that much explaining to do, as a non-participant, and I don't recall if his BF is the jealous type or not. (Too much blood in the caffeine system--but I'm working on it.) Looking forward to more!

This Little Kitten Went to Market
Robert Rex commented on Dayne Mora's story chapter in This Little Kitten Went to Market
GRR! What's holding back the use of the L-word? The timing seems right.... Good chapter--and sizzling hot, too! -
All caught up--and it's been quite a ride! It's time for you to do a little back-fill on the story here...Who is Lang? Why is Gordon after our hero? How's Jason doing with his feelings toward the relationship? Big questions all... So fill us in! The next chapter will be fine for some of those answers.... <grin> Seriously, a fine job on this tale so far--looking forward to more!
-
Non-stop action here...I'm exhausted, and I'm not that far with the story! Onward....good job, btw...
-
Definitely action filled! And I'm looking forward to the explanation of "I'm not a spy". Gonna be tough to re-earn the trust that was there...... Next....
-
Thank God, they're both good shots...suspect it's gonna come in useful! Damn cliffhanger--again! On to the next chapter--and you WILL resolve this there, right? <grin>
