    Chapter 2

Nicely done... And interesting mysteries you've set up. The unidentified movement in the scrap? The seeming possession of the captain. The captain's lack of response to Jensen's kiss? Looking for answers ahead. You've done well with your plot's development!

    Chapter 1

How am I just now only discovering this intriguing tale? Loving this start, and going to enjoy watching you develop Jensen's nascent character as well as seeing our hero's response as he realizes he's falling for his A.I. Good job! Moving forward....

    Chapter 10

The difference between Jackson and Luke finally hit me: Jackson is the "I'm a jock, I don't have to think, I can follow the path of least resistance doing what's expected, rely on my charm and good looks to get by" type. Luke is the "I'm a thinker, take nothing for granted, question everything and shoot down the bad stuff with logic and force of will" type. Jackson is only now questioning himself and his motives; Luke has already questioned why, has the answers for himself, and now expects answers from Jackson--answers Jackson can't give. But it's making Jackson start to think. Henry comes across as a good guy, understanding the typical high school hijinks. (In that regard, he was probably closer to Jackson's mentality at that age than Tyler's.) Because of that, he's able to make an impact that Jackson's parents haven't--by giving an expected behavior standard that Jackson wants to meet. Jackson's response is astonishment as well as surprise that someone has actually set a higher standard to meet; almost like he's never realized anyone had ever really done that before. Guess sometimes it takes that extra set of expectations outside of the parents to get through to a kid. All in all, a finely-crafted subtle chapter with far more going on that what appears at first glance. You've done well here!

    Chapter 25

Nice that Curtis is finally being honest, as much with himself as with Casey! He's honestly trying to be open--if he can just learn to speak without putting his foot in his mouth all the way up to his ass. And the fact he really did try to avoid a fight--just hope that comes through with mom. A good, fun chapter. Potential plot development for Curtis is wide open...and I'm looking forward to see where it goes,

    Chapter 3

Bitterness--beyond simply mistrust--is a cancer to future relationships, and Corey should definitely let it go. But why do I think that Corey and Jason WILL see each other after the wedding? That'll be a show worthy of fresh popcorn! Well done!

    Early March

Such a well done chapter! Toph is definitely moving forward, and his newfound maturity – – especially expressed in the note to his mother – – is gratifying. However, I'm still not convinced of Gary's motives. I believe he was more than a little complicit with mom's transfer of money. I also think it will be a good thing for Toph to quizz boyfriend about mom's involvement. If nothing else it'll satisfy Toph's curiosity, and permanently close that chapter. But it will also be revealing about mom's intentions. Great to see Toph's career is moving forward as well. His enthusiasm for painting has increased, the theme for the paintings shows he better integrated into the community, and additional display space will be a good thing for him. You "done good"!
  7. Great to see Connor making such a good group of friends, and great that he's bonded so closely with his dad. Dad seems to be a good guy, really caring about Connor even if the job doesn't allow as much time to be demonstrative as he'd like. Nicely done!
  8. Tamy, just dive on in...you'll find plenty of different genres to enjoy and friendly folks in the chat rooms. Plus, you get the opportunity to leave both "likes" as well as direct comments on the stories you read (and yeah, you need to do that--authors love that stuff!) Glad you're here! Zephyr, welcome! Plenty to like on this site, lots of reading options, friendly folks--and once that fire is lit under your anatomy, you find a supportive (and helpful) community. (So get busy--we're looking forward to your stories!) Enjoy!
  9. YIKES! Sorry to hear the chapter triggered those pain memories. Barry is getting great care--he's at one of the top hospitals in the country--while Benoit is definitely in line for a heaping measure of justice. (as a side note, his character has generated more intensity than any other I've written--need to figure out how to get that intensity on ALL my characters!) Really promise--I try NOT to do cliffhangers, but sometimes it's the only logical place to break for a chapter. I'll work harder to do better. THANK YOU for reading and commenting--it means a lot! (And yeah, the secret reveal is coming; maybe not the next chapter but shortly.)
  10. Thanks for the kind words--and for sticking with the story, Zenith! I'm glad you're enjoying the tale!

    Chapter 24

Finally! Casey has saved Curtis's ass now several times...glad he's realized he can trust Casey as a friend. Lane's energetic Saturday morning reminds me of so many kids. The only fly In the ointment is when Shane reveals he's waited – – what, five or six days since his last orgasm? That's so not typical of teen-aged boys-- they get hard when the wind blows, and a day without three or four orgasms is considered a lost cause! (Grin) Good job, loving the way the story of moving, and you're keeping the characters interesting. Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Chapter 16

Nice! The budding romance is taking major steps forward and the trip sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. Plus, the parents certainly seem to be supportive – – everything is really coming together. Love the way the story of moving forward – – good job!

    Chapter 5

Yippee! Real progress here..both on Connor's health status, and the relationship! Plus parental support is always a good thing! Great job in moving the story along--more, more!

    Chapter 7

The old line of "A hard dick has no conscience" is definitely at work here, and our horny baseball jock is proving that. But, there is some hope here--while not necessarily overwhelmed with guilt, he's definitely conflicted about Alex, and how out he needs to be. Bryce is certainly interested in more, but isn't afraid to use sex along the way. Perhaps the bigger issue is roomie--homophobic, potentially violent, definitely trouble. Was he the unnamed guy leaving the locker room? Or is he protesting too much, covering up his own feelings? Lots to learn ahead! Doing a great job here, with an interesting plot, and strongly defined characters that bring out readers emotions. Can't wait for the next chapter!
  15. Grrrr! High school is the true example of evoloution--"survival of the fittest", with too many species "killed off". But it sounds like growth is occurring--definitely a good thing! Looking forward to seeing where this part of the story goes...plot line is wide open. Good job!

    Born to Run

GRR! SO many things wrong here: the attempted drugging, the use of diplomatic immunity, the compliance of Jose-Maria...but you worked through 'em all well. I'm really hoping between the dads that their influence can provide some justice--there are plenty of ways to work around diplomatic immunity...and Bernado deserves all the justice he can handle and more! I'm really a little concerned about CJ, though--the full impact of all this is still registering on him; witness his "it's my fault" response, and his response to the guy trying to work out a 3-way with him and Shawn. Hopefully, he can work past it, or get the support he needs quickly. GREAT job in building the tension and saving the day with Sean's appearance! You did well here, young man!

    Chapter 11

REALLY looking forward to the school meeting! Those are gonna be some fun fireworks! Nicely done--and you moved the story line along well.
  18. The museum is a great place--you need to schedule a trip here; you'd really enjoy it! And glad you got the "I'm here, too" feeling from the story! Ryan and Clayton ARE good matches for each other; despite their difference, they work well together. I appreciate your hanging with the story line--THANK YOU!
  19. Glad you liked the chapter--their developing relationship is moving well, and their comfort level with each other is an instinctive thing on both their parts. Not a big fan of "traditional" baby showers, but a baby shower at a bar has got to be far more fun. And their finding just the right chair made it even more interesting; toss in a matching dresser, and you know the girls were blown away. THANK YOU for hanging in with the story!
  20. Didn't know you did woodworking. Next time you're here, I'll take you to that little woodshop in the Quarter--you'll be impressed! Thanks for the comments, buddy!

    Nightmares

THANK YOU for the compliment on Ryan's dreams! I really work hard to make it come through with an "other world/disjointed from reality" feeling, and I'm glad that comes through. Ryan's making progress on his legs--just be prepared for a surprise on that ahead. And you're absolutely right; DEFINITELY the wrong bar to try that shit! But, you know that by now. THANK YOU for continuing to read; I appreciate it!

    Nightmares

LOL! I actually hate cliffies, but it was kinda at a natural dividing line to break the chapter. I'll work hard to try to NOT have that happen again! Glad you liked the dream sequence and it's style. I'm really comfortable with that approach, just need to be careful using it; from what I hear, it's not a favored writing style of most folks here...but oh, well--sometimes it just works! THANK YOU for continuing to follow up, and the encouraging words. You make a big difference with me, buddy!

    Nightmares

Thanks for sticking with the story, Tim--sorry it's been such a bad week for ya, but hopefully the story offers some diversion for you! One of the things I love about the guys is how damn comfortable they are with each other. (And yeah, they've become real enough to me, I don't feel like I'm creating a story--I'm merely reporting!) That level of comfort is a solid plus as they build their relationship to the next level. THANK YOU for sticking with the tale, buddy--that means a lot!

    Ludicrous Speed

Defiance, Benoit was a small-time crook who got in over his head with a badly-planned robbery attempt; Joe and Ryan (thankfully) made a difference! And glad the action/tension came through in your reading. I appreciate your sticking with this tale--THANK YOU!
  25. Robert Rex

    Ludicrous Speed

Thanks for the comments! The gunman could have been either one of the nasty biker group, or Benoit--but Benoit was so desperate because of his situation, he made the dumb move of trying to rob the bar. Thankfully, Ryan and Joe are both action oriented, and stepped up to risk neutralize the situation. THANK YOU for reading/commenting!
