Will This Day Never End?
Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in Will This Day Never End?
Skinny, you're right again, as usual--amusement parks don't offer roller coasters that match the ups and downs of Ryan's day. Glad you liked Clayton's place. In a lot of ways, it's like the man himself; quality, understated, but substantive. As for the little blue pill issue...well, we'll talk about that in the next chapter! I appreciate your reading and comments. THANKS! -

Even though I'm certain it wasn't exactly the way Clayton had envisioned their first love-making session to have happened, I think you're right--Ryan needed the intimacy after the day he'd had! Glad you're here--THANK YOU for your comments! -

Glad you enjoyed the chapter, Zenith! It's remarkable how well they play off each other--Ryan has a shitty day (at least parts of it), and yet Clayton almost instinctively knows that to do. Glad you're hooked...there's more to the tale. Hopefully, the next chapter will be out in a couple or three days. THANK YOU for reading along and commenting! -
“You’re almost here, Ryan. The house is on the right, the mailbox has lighted numbers. I’ll turn on the driveway lights and open the garage door.” Driving around, lost. Been to this subdivision before, when Clayton took me on our first date—but that was at night, and I wasn’t really paying attention to where we were. Seen signs directing me to the dock from that night, but that’s not helping me now. Suddenly see the “mailbox” and it looks nothing like the typical black box on a post. Ins

Thanks, Gary--glad you liked it; and, glad you're caught up! Ryan certainly has had a lot to deal with, and no doubt Clayton is a big help. Some demons have to be fought alone, though, and I think he's making progress. Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for the kind words, Tony! Ryan is certainly the kind of guy I'd like to get to know--certainly solid, determined, and a real fighter to have made it this far. That's not to say he doesn't have his issues (who doesn't?), but he seems to have done well. You'll see more about him in the next chapter; yeah, there are still things to work on, though. THANK YOU for your comments, and for following the story!

Chapter 64 What I Remember
Robert Rex commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 64 What I Remember
You did a GREAT job conveying the excitement (and fog!) that accompanies a wedding! Nicely done--and perhaps the best present Andy could have gotten was the insight from grandmother about his parentage, so that Andy faces his new life as his own man. Hate to see this story end....you've created a fine tale with great characters and believeable plot. You've done well with this! -
Covered a LOT in this chapter--getting Jorge settled in, buying a house, getting in the routine of school, new career as a sketch artist, new housekeeper...whew! I'm exhausted! But now comes the variability, with the call (in the upcoming chapter) of a return to an unknown mission. Gonna be interesting to see where that goes! Now, about that next chapter, and its appearance tomorrow... (Grin)

Shade's a cool guy, maybe a little bit of a street hustler there, but seems solid enough. And, amazing that everyone knows Mike is gay--and beyond an earlier warning that he's a player, doesn't seem like there's any issues there. Holds out some hope for our hero. Interesting chapter! Looking forward to the next one in your usual well-written style!

Great chapter! Nice to have Colton come into the picture--he's providing an outlet/letting our hero think for himself--and perhaps providing a romantic interest, too. Well done!

Chapter 63 Apprehension
Robert Rex commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 63 Apprehension
Grrr! Too much stuff going on in one chapter--and then you throw grandmother into the mix? Durn your hide!! It's your usual solid writing, but you've left us dangling--Andy alone in a cabin? No mention of the wedding itself? What'd grandma provide, info/family-wise? What happened with the "prayer protest"? I know it takes time to do the fine writing you do--but damnit, where's that next chapter?!? (Grin) -
Yipee! Two great events in one chapter! First, things are really cool between Chipper and CJ--I'd really been concerned about long-term between 'em, but things seem good. Second, so damn glad Ritchie is on the scene. Would be great to have him around full-time! (Hint, hint) You covered so much in this chapter, all with your usual smooth style, and yet leaving all sorts of plot options open. Looking forward to that next chapter!

You've definitely come to the right place--plenty enough for you to read here--enough so that you'll hafta have reminders for "real life" activities. Read through, leave likes and comments (authors love that, and even occasionally leave character and plot information you can't get anywhere else) and plan on being in chat here occasionally. You're important to the growth of this place, so let your voice be heard! Rex

The brothers are a mixed bag: Lane's absolutely love able, Rodney's the problem solver, Curtis' the act-then-think-if-at-all guy. Watching their dynamics is fun! Always looking forward to the next chapter!
-
Nice! Who knew Nate would be such a tease! They're both sexy and fun with each other. You did well here--the innocence of youth fuels their passion, and you conveyed it perfectly!
-
DAMN! Brad certainly was nothing like what I'd anticipated--and a hat tip to you for pulling off that detailed character building in one chapter! Definitely gonna be interesting to see where you take this; plenty of options here, and I suspect you'll keep us wondering about it all. GOOD JOB!
-
Aw, thanks, Carlos! Trust me, lots of research on this--and the stuff portrayed in the chapter about the technology of prosthetics is totally accurate. Absolutely mind-blowing how those things work! Obviously a tough day for Ryan, but it's bittersweet; there IS hope ahead if he can just plow through it all. Thanks for the kind words...and support! I appreciate you!
-
Damn if Sean isn't a piece of work from the get-go! Manipulative, possessive, alcohol management issues--someone call Samsonite, their baggage is here! And Phil's warning wasn't strong enough to register on Tait's radar--or was Phil insecure enough in his feelings that he didn't make sure his message got through to Tait for fear of betraying his own interests? Regardless, it's a chapter packed tightly with information, potential plot lines, and plenty of energetic interaction between the three players--and it makes for an involving read. Damn fine writing here!

You moved beyond spoiled to pampered/babied! And, as you know, service at Antoine's is legendary, with breathtakingly good food. You definitely had a great trip...we need to schedule a repeat visit! Thanks for reading along--and admitting you're a head-sucker; not everyone is, you know....

Somethin's Got To Give, Part Deux
Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in Somethin's Got To Give, Part Deux
Benoit is obviously using Ben--and Tina may be involved. Hell, with that guy, anything is possible! You may need to do some bitch-slapping by the time it's all done. As for the bikers, you may know 'em--but know you don't run with 'em; not your style! Glad you're here with the tale, buddy! Thanks for the comments! -
Chapter 62 Examination
Robert Rex commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 62 Examination
Loving the family meeting/dinner! And really enjoying Zan's brother--all gruff and protective, but a genuinely good guy. Also loving the insight into his best man's family--the wrestling they dd with their faith before making a conscious decision to move forward and support the wedding despite their not understanding all of it. Plus, it's gonna be fun to watch how his playing matchmaker with Lena is gonna go. You did a great job of covering a busy evening, as well as pointing out the obvious case of nerves/self-doubt. Now, can't wait for the wedding! -
LOL! We'll just hafta host ya in and do a newer tour of the city--lots of changes here! (The baths are now being made into CONDOS! LOL) And, as a part of your tour, we'll take you upstairs to the play area..it now has it's own well-equipped floor. Thanks for continuing on with the story, buddy...I appreciate it!
-
Aw, man--that's probably one of the nicest compliments I could get ("thought I was on a stool at the bar listening in"). It's especially sweet coming from a master of character/dialogue like you! Benoit is a character and a half--and yup, we've all known guys like him. Instinctively makes ya wanna kick his ass at first meeting.... Glad you're reading through--and leaving remarks. You give great comment! THANK YOU!
-
Thanks for the kind words! Yup, it WAS a tough day for Ryan, and I'm not certain even he realizes the depth of feeling he has for Clayton--it's almost instinctive that he reaches for him; nice to see his feelings that strong. Again, THANK YOU for the comments, and for following the tale. I appreciate you!
-
Glad you're here, Scott! You'll find plenty to like--great stories, friendly people (yeah, you need to be in chat and meet some of these folks!) and lots of genres to choose from as you read. Just be prepared to be wishing for more hours in the day; there's too much good stuff here it becomes addictive! Welcome--and enjoy!
