Climb the ladder, find the snakes in the grass. It’s funny, but that base mechanic sounds an awful lot like some old Nintendo Game & Watch game 😹 Then again, sometimes reducing what’s going on makes you appreciate the absurdity. I like where this is going - I wish Shawn had some people besides gAI that he’d know always have his back. His school mates will do in a pinch.

Chapter 56: Investigation
Northerner commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 56: Investigation
My spider senses tell me that whatever nefarious business is going on, it didn’t involve just Dir. Green and Sebastien. Someone, or something, is playing them. -
Thank you for this gift if yet another chapter in the storied life of Granger. It’s funny how George got wistful, thinking about his old postings and what came of those ships. It’s like when you sometimes think of the old cars you’ve gone through.

@methodwriter85Class act there to suggest the perennial Only You by Yazoo. I’m happy that my Alfa prediction came true in some form! It warms my little blackened heart in these Yuletides. Is it too early to start a betting pool for a helicopter accident? Cynical, moi? On a much lighter note - thanks for this breezy chapter. As has been noted we can expect choppy waters ahead, but the ride there is sweet. Very much looking forward to read how Travis navigates the on set drama and would be suitor. Also, the unrelenting business world of Stef and Brad is sure to produce some contingency, plus Dr Crampton and Claire will find some way to throw a curveball. I can hardly contain myself, he wrote unsarcastically. Thnak you and merry Christmas to y’all!

This reader enjoys GA from his iPad, and dark mode is a very welcome addition. Demons? Give me Science Fiction, Fantasy and engaging stories for days! No complaints though, there’s so much good stuff to read already. Thanks to all the writers out there, and thanks for what you do to keep this going!

Lamont library Lothario and the Italian stallion. It sounds like an incredibly cheap paperback romance, but leave it to the esteemed author to make it both classy and tantalizing. I wonder where this will go, while Travis is wrapped up in LA TV production and its vices? Thanks @Mark Arbour for spicing this up! Are we to expect Will to drive an Alfa Spyder around lake Como in the sunset?

I smell something afoul in what was handed over. This isn’t going to be as easy as ichi ni san. That said, good on Brad for figuring out what Petrovich wants. Big’s rescue won’t be as tidy as this.

Chapter 26: First Day of Science
Northerner commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 26: First Day of Science
Interesting, of course he’s being watched! I wonder if his gAI is smart enough to make sure he doesn’t stand out too much in his classes. Camouflage is always good, and it’s looking like it will be needed. -
Chapter 25: First Day of History

Welcome back, and thanks for continuing! Love this story, it’s intriguing to see where it goes. -
Haha, again Will is thrust in the role of Harvard Square Lothario. He does it so well! I wonder what’s bugging our Serbian mafia don? Say it isn’t bad Slivovitz? Or, gasp, a poorly made pljeskavica? Would be a shame cause a good pljesca is tasty. Anyway, nice to see that Claire is doing better. I was hopeful for a piece of Stef wisdom, we’ll see what role he has to fill. Excited to read what comes, thank you for keeping us second guessing!

Drama and solace. Jack left a spotted, but overall fond farewell. Granted, he had a tough crowd to please. Did Brad do him dirty? Jack’s behavior was erratic before the end; Brad can’t undo things, so now he has to live with the consequences. I sometimes wonder how JP lives with all the drama and histrionics of his close family? Tough for him, being a stoic, but entertaining for us who get to peek in.

Chapter 24: Getting Ready for Classes
Northerner commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 24: Getting Ready for Classes
Futurism on campus - spend most your time people watching. Plus ça change… nice that the future/alternate timeline is what itä’s supposed to be. -
Chapter 23: Showering Off
Northerner commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 23: Showering Off
Cue the porn music! Our boy Shawn takes charge as an opportunity presents itself. College life can get wild! He seems ready for more; fingers crossed the director doesn’t register his sluttish ways as something abnormal. -
Woo girls galore. Imagine the shock of poor Alec. You can take the bumpkin out of the country, but never the country out of the bumpkin. Still, he went back to his true calling rather fast, didn’t he 😈 I liked the Sinjin twist, it puts another level of depth to his mystery. All these actors, nobody is who they seem at first.
-
Imagine that. The boys finally opened up to their instincts. That was a fine gift from Sinjin, Gin and Sin. Even though we are constantly being bombarded by troublesome news, we live in a good place and time. Doesn’t mean it can’t be improved, but we’re also children of a lot of human development. A lot. That in itself is grounds for pause - it’s a beautiful thing we should be thankful for. With this gift the boys should at least have an inkling of things worth fighting for in the coming crucible. Fingers, as ever, crossed.

Chapter 22: The Director Searches
Northerner commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 22: The Director Searches
So happy this story is back on! Meanwhile, I gotta catch up on your other story as well. More reading for me, and hopefully more vacation to enjoy for our author. Shawn better make sure his AI knows how to keep his radar emissions down! This is a foreshadowing of future trouble for sure. -
Thank you ever so much for bring this tightly action packed story to its splendid conclusion! Just karma was served in heaps, and the Carters could return to a semblance of domestic bliss. Really looking forward to the next one in the saga and what the team is up to. Plus, what comes after that…

Saw that they’ve added the Pelligon to the Wintergarden since I was in that neighborhood. Of course, C19 and work from home, plus Brexit, means that Canary Wharf is struggling these days. I hope the UK regains its footing. Then again, New Orleans post C19 wasn’t the same either. Tough times. Templeman is really economical, whereas Andrew is lethal. Their combat styles differ greatly. The surprise of how Eleanor Rigby likes to play rugby was a welcome addition of some levity. Well done!
-
I like how this story turned out. It’s like a pensive Bildungsroman that deals with growth. At the end Alarik is coming to terms with going from ever being the observer into taking a more active role in his relationships. Good for him that he could change a little along with the rest of the crew. Also, big kudos for the normalcy (for me) of the settings. Not everyone lives 24/7 on Miami Beach, or Manhattan. Big things happen elsewhere too.
-
There’s something about Hugo and Alec that reminds me of a more overtly rainbow coded version of Frodo and Sam. They should creep back into the library garden and give in to temptation instead of faffing about. The bigger adventure can wait for some buggery. Get it while it’s hot!
-
Carter’s disorderly conduct? The wheels are coming off the wagon for a lot of people, fingers crossed for Templeman, Dr Reed, the Carters, Ezra and all of the common people who has to carry the burden of making sure things stay on course. Fingers crossed.

Too bad it’s bloody difficult to keelhaul someone on a sub. I guess we have to resort to wishing ill on Bravo. Meanwhile, there’s still lots of foul play afoot, so it’s not in the bag yet. Image the surprise when Andrew et consortes are met by his most excellent sir lord Mason and his henchmen, and promptly frog-marched to gaol.
-
Aww, it started almost blissfully with Jer-Jer and Kris acting all besotted. Then it got raunchy fast. When are Stef and Grand getting a cat? They can’t be upstaged by some New Englanders and their family dog. Props to Finn for getting back to the grind before the California dudes break out the wacky weed. It’s Harvard, not Berkeley so buckle up and do your work. Meanwhile - what’s Thor and fellow roommates up to? Will needs to get back to campus life, not just sleuthing. However, the mystery is deep.
-
Our team of husbands have settled down somewhat, enjoying the simple life with grandchildren. That doesn’t stop them from christening new additions to their space armada. As you do when you’re tycoons of industry with a few star systems to your name. Still, the guys need their chocolate fix and some city digs.
-
Imagine that. Getting stopped by a witchhunter and suffering from an uncooperative prospective boyfriend who won’t put out. Alec needs to unleash his inner violence on that s.o.b. Then take care of the puritan. He needs saving from his perpetual state of unarousedness.
