They continue to be hunted. Letting the survivor live was honorable and merciful, if unwise. Telling him to warn his boss was a waste of breath. The hunt will only redouble in my view. Approaching a man to help them disappear he had a falling out with? Oh yeah, it would be on the top of my list.

Excellent action in this chapter. Now they only have to evacuate the fort and get away. If the ship of the line shows, she'll be up against two frigates.

I doubt those men will survive 20 years of hard labor there, so it's effectively a prolonged death sentence. Now for Conway.

Conway has underestimated George and has found himself isolated and unable to stir up more trouble or attempt to influence the interrogations.

Unlike the Ramsey incident, George has been warned about Conway, but is he really untrustworthy? Time will tell.
