I look over at crvboy regularly to see if there are any new chapters up. I had wondered why there hadn't been any updates.

A Home For Christmas 12
drpaladin commented on Comicality's story chapter in A Home For Christmas 12
The image of Aric trying to lube an unrolled, empty condom was priceless. -
The Tower Treasure was originally published in 1927. Hard to believe the series is that old.

Chapter 4 - Gawa, Eroli, & S'Kay
drpaladin commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 4 - Gawa, Eroli, & S'Kay
They consider themselves a unit of three. I believe they only view Tualu as a helper. I think Tualu beams them in where they want to go. You notice in the other chapter there was no obvious entry point and the door had to be unlocked. Speaking of the other chapter, I find it odd the Messiahs have made no attempt to repair the damage to their tower in the past year. As arrogant as they are, you'd think they'd view the assault on their center of power as an affront to their dignity. -
Chapter 4 - Gawa, Eroli, & S'Kay
drpaladin commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 4 - Gawa, Eroli, & S'Kay
Sex and murder are not strangers to each other. Our trio of killers have developed an appetite for it. These things have a way of becoming sloppy. They will slip up somehow. Let's hope no innocents get persecuted before they get caught. -
From the other chapter, the wounds were oddly arranged around his nipples.

duckboard - Word of the Day - Wed Mar 15, 2023
drpaladin commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
Once towns of any frontier became more organized, duckboards were the first step to keep pedestrians from being mired in the mud. The upgrades were boardwalks or sidewalks. -

Chapter 3 - Memories
drpaladin commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 3 - Memories
It's nice to have a remembrance for Agrell. It seems this impromptu journey to Dozi's village came at the right time for them to help. The fire Ilya is compelled to investigate is another mystery. How will it connect with our companions? -
Chapter 2 - Vion, Part One
drpaladin commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 2 - Vion, Part One
This is the beginning of the civil war I predicted in the first book. This society is in such a fragile balance and there is no greater authority to intervene to maintain any semblance of order. There is only retribution, which will beget more righteous retribution in return. -
Chapter 1 - Ninyani
drpaladin commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 1 - Ninyani
Ninyani's godhood came with unexpected consequences. Without followers, there is no god. -

Another old saw is 'never give a sucker an even break.' Not to imply Libby is a sucker. -

$20 short. A dollar doesn't get what it used to. -
There were only five of them and they were out in the open. By himself, Kalian has the raw power to destroy an army and at the speed of light. So, why didn't he smoke them?

I liked the Donegal tweed fedora Basil Rathbone wore, but I was never a fan of the deerstalker. -

I tend to associate this with the clergy. -
The germ of Goldberg's invention cartoons came from Professor Frederick Slate at the College of Mining and Engineering at the University of California. He set his students, of which Goldberg was one, the fanciful task of designing a scale to weigh the Earth. His absurd little syndicated cartoons were making him the equivalent of $1.5 million a year by 1915. To have his kind of imagination, you never completely grow up.
