Oh Comsie….I hope those memories of abuse and the dagger-words that went with them are quiet for you now. RIP my dear friend. No more pain.

William Harker’s Journal: Entry 31
MrM posted new chapter in The Seducer: A Gone From Daylight Inspired Story
§ § Saturday, December 9, 1989 “Ungh…Wha-what was that strange language you were speaking at my parent’s grave Tuesday night…ooo? It certainly wasn’t…uhhh…Romanian!” I asked of Vlad as I sat between his legs on the floor with my back to him while he remained in his wing chair. With wicked skill he gently massaged my shoulders and neck with those powerful, bone-crushing hands of his. “Verzpertillio.” Vlad said this strangely lisping word nonchalantly, like it was nothing. “Verzzp -

MrM posted new chapter in The Seducer: A Gone From Daylight Inspired Story
§ § Tuesday, December 5, 1989 The funeral and wake for my parents had been emotional, as to be expected. I had to go alone, since, of course both events had been during the day. Vlad could not attend with me, though later he would join me that night so that he could also pay his own respects. By night we had taken an evening flight up to Portland and then drove down to Newport where the cemetery was. It felt strange being in my hometown again. Without my folks, it didn’t seem li -

William Harker’s Journal: Entry 29
MrM posted new chapter in The Seducer: A Gone From Daylight Inspired Story
§ § Friday, December 1, 1989 His face, even though it is no longer disguised, I still find handsome and kind…at least to me. Yes, I suppose Vlad Țepeș Dracula is a monster, but he is a kindly one…at least to me. As fearful as I should be at the prospect of there being real vampires and him being a ‘lord’ of them, his words to me that night rang true to me somehow: “Yes, William. But, be not afraid! Not of me. Never of me…” In any case, that dreadful night on Halloween -
Imagine Magazine Question for 4/26
MrM replied to MrM's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
I’ll start out. This involves my most precious web link: Behind that link lies Comsie’s review and endorsement for my Brandon Smiling project. Our private email and chats from this point forward were always special things. I’d always get a thrill when I’d see a new Comsie email come into my inbox! We mostly just talked about Imagine Magazine and some other projects, but I got to know a lot about Comsie in those emails. I was going through them just the other day, remembering him. We had kicked off a wonderful long-distance friendship this way. What amazes me about how Comsie was is the fact he seemed to be able to hold this kind of friendship with so many folks! He gave everyone he could time with him to, just, be friends with him and be enthusiastic about everything! He was a wellspring of enthusiasm and positive energy! He rarely had a cross word for anyone and lived, especially, to encourage other authors with their creativity! His blogged writing tips here at GA are solid gold for any author wanting to really stretch their wings! If his insights into writing are gold then his insights into life and love, especially in the gay context, are diamonds! His wise life advice always built me up. He was most wise and shared that life-wisdom with the generosity that he shared everything else about him! He shared himself so much to the point that it was painful sometimes, but it was a sweet pain. He loved his work and he loved his fans just as much. Comsie will always be with us in his writings, but for those of us that got to know him at all, he will be forever in our hearts! Remembering him will be easy…forgetting him - impossible! Until we meet again, Comsie! I’ll see you on the other side. -
Comsie had this tradition of asking a question for folks to answer to be posted on Imagine Magazine. After discussing this with some close friends of Comsie’s, we’ve decided to not only keep Imagine Magazine going in his memory, but to continue these questions. The next issue of Imagine Magazine being planned is going to be a memorial issue. For that issue, I have one simple question: Do you have a special memory of Comicality that you’d like to share? It can be a special email, DM, story comment, chat, or forum post. Anything at all that you and Comsie shared that makes you remember him fondly. He was a man that touched a lot of lives and he was generous with his time and attention. I expect there may be quite a few memories out there worth being shared. For Comsie, let’s hear them!

Imagine Magazine Question For 12/31
MrM replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Comsie’s prescience here is haunting… Here’s a regret: Not having responded to more of these prompts when he was making them. I always said I’d ‘get around to it one day’, but never did. This prompt should tell us all something: never put off til tomorrow what you should do today. You never know if tomorrow will come… -
A playlist I made for Comsie. He told me he liked it for his magnum opus: Gone From Daylight. I’m listening to it in his memory tonight.

I will contribute anything I can. PM me and let me know what I can do and where to direct my submissions. Anything to keep my friend’s legacy as alive as his soul.

@Shadow086, I will continue my work on Brandon Smiling in Comsie’s memory as well as my work on The Seducer (a Gone From Daylight fanfic). These are both works directly inspired and sanctioned by Comsie and I think he would want me to continue with them. I wouldn’t try to attempt finishing any of his own novels. I agree, it’s a touchy thing having other authors try to complete his unfinished stories. Comsie’s style was unique to him and I don’t think anyone else could capture that style effectively to do those stories justice. We have what we have and should cherish them for what they are.

Tuesday So close, yet so far! He lent me his notebook! I’d asked for it hoping that I’d see something. A clue. A sign. Something, I can hang on to! Yeah, I asked him saying that I’d misplaced my notes. But, I wanted to see! I wanted to see if he’d said anything about me in his notebook! You see, a kid’s notebook is a very personal thing. Sure, there’s notes from class in a notebook, but there are other things too! Little thises and thatses. Things like pi

Monday Well, I think that Sam and Joanna are quitsville. Not that I much care, mind you, since Sam can go fuck himself, but they were making quite the scene this morning. My locker is only a few doors down from their’s and I had to get my books for First Period. So, I had ringside seats to their little lover’s tiff. It was something about Sarah Maxwell, a lovely girl that would definitely give Joanna a run for her money and a reason to be jealous. Apparently, Sam had ‘dared’ to ta

Sunday So, I have this aunt on my mother’s side of the family. Her name is Josephina and she lives in San Diego. Why is this important? Because she has a daughter, Ashley, and it seems she’s getting married next weekend and guess who has to go: Me. Just when things are starting to simmer between Billy and me my Dad up and says, like it’s some wonderful surprise, that we’ll be heading down to San Diego to attend Ashley’s wedding. I acted enthusiastically like I was ‘suppo

Surrounding them on all sides, the emerald splendour of the Wudang Mountains rose about them calling to mind the silk-screen paintings of old Chinese masters. To Moira’s eye, she’d never tire of this particularly beautiful scene. She’d not been blessed with many trips to China in the past and most of those trips were spent in vast cities, teeming with people, possessed of concrete and steel canyons so unlike the natural depths and heights of the Chinese hinterlands. As the tour guide b -
Status update from Comsie: Physical therapy has been exhausting, to say the least, but I've learned to walk just fine and my coordination is great. I want to start writing again soon. I'd love to pick up where I left off. Wish me luck! Sorry that it's taken so long to write back to so many of you. My hands didn't really work right (Been catching up on a lot of old movies. Their so weird. Hehehe!) It sounds like he’s making good progress! Keep the prayers and good vibes going! They’re working!
