  1. 10.1 Bert Kreek was near tears; well real tears were forming. A cartoon had been posted on the army's Facebook site showing a woman, identified as Kreek's mother, lying back with her legs open, and addressing a line of black guys in full arousal. The caption read ‘C’mon big guys, I can fuck all day if ya wants' This is cruel; why bring me mum into this mess - my mess. She's not like that. She goes to church and lives as a good Christian; she'd never do anything as disgusting as this offe

    Chapter 9

Very close. I find posting chapter by chapter frustrating. Wouldn't it be great if we could post the entire story in one go.

    Chapter 9

9.1 'Thanks for seeing me Captain. I know how busy you guys are, so agreeing to meet me at such short notice is really appreciated. I see you've got a brew; (signally a waiter) I've heard the coffee here is good.' Once his order was taken, Grant turned to speak, but Mark beat him to the punch. 'When an MP, and a senior one at that, requests a sudden meeting, it certainly is disconcerting. I never really agreed to anything except a need to satisfy my curiosity. How can I help, WO?'

    Chapter 8

' . . . but you must sir, I'm falling apart; I need you . . . ' 'Don't you dare tell me I ‘must' do something; Corporals don't order Colonels to do anything. I'm really disappointed in you; I thought you were stronger.' '(Distressed) I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean to offend, but this harassment is getting to me. It's hard to explain, it's not the type of harassment, it's the continual pressure I have to live under. (Pause) I've separated the persecution into two areas, those that are triv

Thnx for dredging up memories. I can still remember my own first encounter. God, I was naive, but I remember it wasn't too bad

    Chapter 7

Chapter Seven 7.1 He stared at the image reflecting back at him; the stark-naked image reflecting back. He saw a young late teenage youth, well-nourished , superbly muscled, handsome facial features, tanned and with a head of closely cropped blond hair. It was a pleasing appearance, one that should inspire confidence and an encourage friendship. But internally it was a vastly different narrative. He lived a life in terror; in terror of his father, Colonel Garth Stamins . . . because he w

    Chapter 6

With the War Games ending, normal daily routine returned to the Larrakeyah barracks. Days merged into weeks, thence into months. But beneath the false impression of calm and peace, there were tensions gathering momentum. Mark and Scott continued in their relationship and although they tried to hide their relationship, they couldn't. Other persons were aware but decided to say nothing, preferring to see if the affair would implode by its own volition. They were to be mistaken, because the two me

    Chapter 5

I'm using vernacular spoken language. This is not meant to be derogatory or discriminatory. The same principle applies to the term fagott, queer, poofter and such. It's simply how people talk. If I had to be politically correct my dialogue would lack veracity. Sorry if you're offended; it certainly wasn't meant to be offensive.

    Chapter 5

Chapter Five 5.1 'For a city boy, you ride well; where did you learn to ride?' 'I grew up on the Mornington peninsular, and had a part-time job at the racetrack there. Also, Mornington had many horse aggistment paddocks, and me and me sisters used to get rides for free. I loved it; when race day came around, I used to go and look after the horses racing that day. I just love horses, they're beautiful creatures.' 'They (horse whinnies) certainly are. Back home I had a beautiful Au

    Chapter 4

The hall buzzed with many conversations as the participants - sergeants and all ranking officers - awaited the colonel. At the appointed time, Colonel Stamins strode into the room, stepped up to the microphone, and surveyed all. His stern gaze subdued all conversation. To the side were officers of the American (US) military, who were to be participating in the war game. 'My purpose today is to give you an abridged outline of the coming war game with the US Defence Force entitled ‘Tiger
  20. STONEWALL By Graham Sealby 09/04/2018 Come sit my fellow traveller While I tell to you a story Of how a people, long suppressed Gained freedom, respect, and glory Come sit you down beside me And interrupt me not For this tale long remembered be And n'er be forgot Our persecutors loud and shrill they were So strident and irate From pulpit, courtroom, school and home They brayed their awful hate We'd endured their constant cr

    Chapter 1

You've got to be kidding . . . you miss the heat of Darwin? It's more the humidity that's the problem.

    Chapter 2

HaHa! Never thought I'd be picked up on that one. Having only spent about one day in Darwin I don't know the gay haunts at all. Mia Culpa! I should have done better research. I'm glad you picked up; I'll do a better search. Perhaps you can help; do you know of any gay saunas in Darwin?

    Chapter 3

Yep, there's no such person as a stereotyped gay. Sometimes I shudder at the gay Mardi Gras thinking that hetro's view this as the gay stereotype. I think to think that there's a silent majority of gay people who don't 'advertise' being gay but just go about loving our partners without fanfare.

    My Story

Thnx for your comment. There are times when the guilt about the pain I caused to family etc. surfaces. I have to keep reminding myself that society, not me, is to blame. I've actually written a poem about the Inn riots which I'm about to post. On another issue, I love Aussie Rules but unfortunately support the Swans. I still retain fond memories of the 2005 grand final. I was further enthralled when Jason Ball came out which has opened the door to many gay aussie rules players.
