    Chapter 17

17.1 Jason and Mother ‘…oh, I don’t think that’ll do any good son. When he read the newspaper interview he exploded. He’s accused you of splitting up the family, damaging the congregation, undermining his authority, and making me unhappy. I’ve tried to reason with him, but he’s so, so stubborn. I told him if he did anything to hurt you, and that includes your partners, I’d leave him. You’re my son and I love you more than I love your father. So you see . . .’ ‘Mum I didn’t set out to cau

    Chapter 16

‘Hello Jason.’ ‘Kathy.’ Long pause. ‘This is weird. I don’t know what to say.’ Kathy just stared at Jason. ‘Well you had plenty to say to the Peninsula Times. Everyone knows what you are now. Have you talked to your father?’ ‘No, just mother.’ Another lengthy pause. A reporter from the ‘Peninsula Times’ newspaper asked Jason for an interview following the dramatic closure of ‘Elysium Meadows’. At first Jason disliked the idea but Eric talked him into it. The more

Back in the 50s they even tried chemical castration on gays. One such person was Allan Turing, the father of modern computers, who helped solve the German enigma machine and helped win WW2. He eventually committed suicide.

15.1 Finding Max and Ernie Jason slept fitfully during the short time remaining till daybreak. Images of Max and the torture room implements kept chasing any true sleep away. He awoke about 8 am and quickly dressed for breakfast. He wondered how Max felt after his ordeal. He entered the breakfast room only to find Sharon and Tony fooding up. Yeah, he's in the box seat with Ava. Of course he doesn't know his father has virtually bribed the lady with the promise of a large donation.

    Chapter 12

Glad to hear from you. In Jason's mind he's just going without any hope of changing. It's a way out for family and wife. He knows deep down it's bullshit

    Chapter 14

14.1 Karl . Rhonda caught Karl at lunch and suggested they have coffee down in Mount Eliza after school. Now they sat playing with their cups of steaming coffee. ‘Have you heard from Jason? Do you know how he’s coping at that place? ‘No, I haven’t heard. Of course, I’m not exactly popular with dear pater right now, so I doubt if he’ll tell me anything about Jason. (looking at Karl) How do you really feel about my brother? I still remember that first time you came to Sunday lunch. He

    Chapter 4

Good point and thanks for responding. All characters have flaws which makes them more human. It's good to hate a character as well as love someone. I try to make my characters grow and change by story end.

    Chapter 6

Thank you. Billy's coming on sixteen not seventeen. How that got past the proof reading is a mystery so I owe you a big 'thanks'.

    Chapter 7

It's a tacky situation for them both. They both are infatuated with Karl and then there's' Billy's dad whose also Jason's boss. Being both gay they could even be attracted to each other. Our emotions are unpredictable. Thanks for commenting it's great to hear from readers.

    Chapter 12

Thanks again. No, it wasn't easy. Any 'coming out' is traumatic and usually involves others. I only wish there was a way to avoid the hurt but I guess there isn't. One day . . . . Anyway thanks for commenting.

    Chapter 13

13.1 Joining Elysium Meadows. ‘1620 Forest Drive Mount Matha, please driver. I’ve never been there before so I can’t help much. Will it be a problem?’ ‘Nah mate, I’ll just put it into Google Drive and it’ll be sweet. Just put yer luggage in the back and we’ll be off.’’ After depositing his suitcase, Jason got into the cab and the driver took off. Just to be on the safe-side, he checked the address again on the pamphlet headed ‘Elysium Meadows’. It showed a big rambling house in sculp

    Chapter 12

12.1 Kathy finds the Flyer She sat in a state of total confusion. No . . . more than confusion. Fear, anger, bewilderment, and unbelieving. She’d put the offending article on the kitchen table and couldn’t bring herself to look at it again. She’d seen enough anyway, and the contents were plastered in her mind. Kathy, being bored in her confinement, had gone looking for things to do. Knowing Jason was always short of hankies, and always ferreted them away in his pockets, she decided to em

    Chapter 2

If I had my way all bibles should be banned and burnt. It's a vile book full of hate

    Prologue

Well I do and well said. I started watching a movie labelled as 'gay' but to my horror found it was a religious attempt to gain acceptance for 'conversion therapy'. I went through so-called aversion therapy and suffered the process of electric shocks and drug experimentation. All it did was leave me with an identity crisis that, thankfully, I've overcome. I just want young gays to beware of these nutters. Thanks for commenting.

    Chapter 11

11.1 Eric and Jason Jason pulled up early in front of the address Eric gave him. As he suspected, the site contained a row of luxurious townhouses on the Esplanade, often referred to as ‘Millionaires Row’. It just took a quick knock and Eric opened the door, ushering him into an opulent vestibule leading down several short steps into a large entertainment room. Jason marvelled at the lavish furnishings and wall decorations. Eric obviously enjoyed Aboriginal Art because several expensive
