    Chapter 1

Don’t forget that Brian went back to the original timeline, and neither Davey nor Sean had talked much about it. So the best comparison here was Davey’s first Do Over. Brian’s going to have to piece it together.

    Chapter 17

In this timeline, as a nominee, and the circumstances of the 9/11 failure and the coverup being exposed ten days before a national election? It wasn’t inconceivable. He wouldn’t have needed 80 percent, necessarily (LBJ managed to demolish Barry Goldwater by 63% while Reagan actually had to deal with a independent centrist candidate in 1980, and a Labor Partylike Democratic Party in 1984.) And some of the other Presidents (Madison and Monroe) were elected overwhelmingly even though complete national popular votes tallies were never determined (and was during a period in American political history known as “The Era of Good Feelings.” But the point was that in that timeline voters were repulsed by the behavior of the incumbent and his administration, and the behavior of the Vice President. So acknowledging the overwhelming loss by pardoning Davey in the process simply demonstrated the need to save that party’s future by “doing the right thing.”

    Chapter 16

I use iPads for almost all of my work and relaxation these days. I still have four different browsers on both iPad (Firefox, Safari, Google, and Edge) and all four have that font color feature for posting, including the automatic setting. I have an iPhone, with three of those browsers, and the same thing. I have my browsers and the os in dark mode as well. Less eye strain.

    Chapter 16

Because of my sensitivity to bright white light, that generally not a option, especially since the automatic color setting is at the top of the posting box for every post. That’s even easier.

    Chapter 16

Just remember the theory of jury nullification. The jury decides not to convict, finding the defendant did the right, if not legal, thing.

    Chapter 16

Can you please use the auto color option for your text color? You’re using black, and it’s totally unreadable for those of us who use dark mode. It’d be appreciated!

    Chapter 8

Worthington, now that he knows government mages attacked twice, is going to be far more careful and he now knows what to look for. He’s got to solve the Colin puzzle, though.
  8. Beloved isn’t a sequel, but certain characters from Working It Out did make a cameo.
  9. This trilogy is outstanding. It,s been a decade since Don finished the trilogy, and his successor story, Beloved, is just as outstanding as wll.
  10. As did Working It Out, this story also deals with some religious contexts made all the more interesting by the rapidity of real world events that out paced Beloved, which was first posted about the time Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI was elected as Pope, and about the time Proposition 8 was adopted by referendum. Now, of course, Francis is now Pope, and Same sex marriage was held constitutional last summer in the Obergefell decision, and Don has subtly handled the real world changes without having to revise or rewrite the story. It does show what a masterful storyteller Don is, and I always look forward to the next chapter!
  11. As far as I know, the story has reached chapter 30 of the second book, Life Goes On, but no new chapters have been posted this year. Eggman has a second story going on as well using some of the characters in an alternate reality, that have posted this year, so he's still breathing. As far as I know you can join his Yahoo Group that he uses for sending out alerts for new chapters when they are posted, and that is one way of knowing when that happens. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theglassonionnews
  12. There's one film none of y'all have mentioned, and its aired periodically on one of the Starz channels (in fact it aired this evening) -- The War Boys (2009) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1070887/ (that's the IMDb page on the film).
  13. You do realize that the same man wrote three of those final episodes --Ronald D. Moore! Clearly the finales Moore wrote for both TNG and DS9 contribute technique to the BSG finale. (Flashbacks/flashforwards from TNG, the mysticism and conclusion of an epice tale in DS9.) I liked the finale a lot. Well, maybe "liked" is too mild a word. I loved it, I thought it was brilliantly done all the way around, and I can't wait to get my hands on the extended version which we'll get in the DVD set whenever NBCU decides to let us have it. I know there's been criticism of the Coda, but not from me. One of the points of the series has been the ethical/moral questions that have already started in terms of how humanity is going to deal with both "articifical life" and "artifical intelligence." And that didn't bother me at all. Nor the dialog (Head-Six reading the lead paragraph of the magazine article about the discovery of what presumably were Hera's skeletal remains. There's much current theory thaat supports RDMs use of the "Eve" theory with Hera, including a study publsihed after he had written the finale that at one point within that time period based on DNA analysis, the population of homo sapiens had actually gone as low as 2,000 people before things turned around and humaity began to multipy. We got many answers, although there are some we didn't get especially with respect to Kara and some aspects of how "Watchtower" played into everything. (Bear McCreary hasn't posted his blog for "Daybreak" yet, and I'm betting he may give us some insights about "Watchtower" than Moore hasn't. And reading Bear's blog has been one of the side joys that has come with BSG. His explanations of how the music informs the scenes (and which music he chooses to use) has been a weekly treat that I'll miss as much as the show itself.
  14. Make sure you also play the enhanced version of each webisode. Jane Eperson, who co-wrote these webisodes is doing the commentary. And Sci Fi is airing a preview on January 11th at 11pm etc., "Twn Things You Need to Know about BSG." They've also gotten a updated version of the 8 minute summary of the series so far (you know, the one with the rapid-fire narration).
  15. So far, CNN and the New York Post seem to be handling the circumstances with care and relying on NYPD sources, thanksfully. It appears there were over-the-counter sleeping pills near the bed. He was found by his housekeeper who called EMS who were there in a matter of minutes. And the housekeeper apparently had gone into the bedroom to gwt Heath up so he could go to an appointment. So it's sounding like if it was an overdose it was accidential, or it could be something else such as an allergic reaction, or something totally unrelated to an kind of medication. Heath has had a string of popular, successful, or critically acclaimed movies. If I understood rightly, he has other movies that are is post-production or awaiting release in addition to The Dark Knight. I only got around to seeing Brokeback Mountain on DVD at Christmas (other things have been going on for the past couple of years for me, and I finally was in the mood to watch it. it really is tragic, and his talent will be missed.
  16. The stroryline called it the Ionian Nebula. Whether that's its actual name, or something the show is just using, I'm not sure. And at the time I posted that I was unaware of the closing effect to the soundtrack with "All About The Watchtower" that ended up zooming on "our' Earth.
  17. It's my understanding that Daniel eill be doing both of the remaining two HP films. The ladt child actor that I can think of who managed to get a strong acting career going is Christian Bale -- who is filming the second film of the latest incarnation of Batman. But his IMDb entry is lengthy.
  18. DK, I posted a prediction several weeks ago at televisionwithoutpity.com, when SciFi started the promotion big guns about "Maelstrom" that the last scene of this season would have Starbuck returning having found the way to Earth. I still think that is the case. (And wasn't it the TOS Starbuck (Dirk Benedict) that died, and not Apollo (Richard Hatch in TOS)? Even more so, I have never found it coincidental that Glan A. Larson has a producer credit on the SciFi series (as he was a cocreator of TOS).
