What does this mean?

The sky turned orange afterwards, like it was when we had the bad wildfire smoke. But luckily the giant fans we have in place to blow it down to the U.S. worked quickly.

Happy Thursday. A long weekend is coming up! Means i see my Husband more... yay! I kind of like Him. Just looking at the pictures of the mess those wild storms left behind. So many stranded cars, lots of flooding. We fared okay where we are and it never seemed to get as windy as some places did. Nor did we get hail over here. Saw one picture where water was high enough to get into a bus. Pictures of people with their feet off the floor. Some pics of pedestrians, just giving up trying to stay dry, happy to be on their feet, i think. Personally, i've never seen a thunderstorm last for two hours. Usually, they are here and gone in twenty minutes. That was a crazy storm. I've never gotten an Emergency Alert on my phone for one either, that made me jump, let me tell you. Nuts. There's lots of varieties of MGMs... they sell some at our store which are not whole wheat, much too sweet and very oily. So you just have to find one you like.

Oh, the recipe is from Sally's Baking Addiction .. it's hers but they are super good. Bit of a pain to make but not hard and so worth it.

Didn't you just make some? They freeze really well. I often find a couple of muffins when i'm digging in the freezer. I froze 10 for us. i'd eat them all the time, but Michael can't so much and we often share one as well.

We're in the middle of huge boomer right now. Lots of lightening and thunder. We may pass on our after dinner walk. LOL. Yeah, i get weather updates on my phone, wild. You take care as well! oh.. 5pm EDT, it just turned into a red alert and said this thunderstorm is extremely dangerous.. there's is a ton of lightening and thunder and rain.. holy cow.

Oatmeal bars are nearly done.. muffins.. looking amazing are cooling. Yummy. And safe for careful diabetics.

Happy Wednesday. Mine started with a bang, well a clap of thunder really .. that was around 6am. So i got up, wrote a bit on a story that i'm working on. I'm on chapter 3 atm. I have an anthology story and just another random story finished now as well. Today i am going to bake some oatmeal bars and maybe morning glory muffins.. i think i have stuff for those... hmmm.. well i'll see. You all have a super day.

Well, like @Flip-Flop said. Dare we mention global warming? We sort of have to, don't we? We are messing with our home and there will be a reckoning.

Heat domes are scary. We had one earlier this summer, it prompted us to get a portable AC for our bedroom. It was worth it. We don't have central air either, just a window AC and now the portable one we use at night. I mostly use my oven to bake, and then i make several things at the same time and freeze stuff. i watch the weather and try to do that on the coolest days. We use the air fryer and/or the instant pot if we have to. Summer fare is lots of salads, and things like that. I hope you manage to keep cool. Small wet towels kept in the fridge are great to put on your neck. I hope it cools down sooner than later. Michael said this morning that he'd rather put on a few layers to keep warm than trying to keep cool.

Well, it's 5:30 a.m. It's dark and coolish. Humid and we have a fog warning. The fog isn't too bad here, do get the odd pea-souper up this far sometimes. I'm sure down by the lake is a different story. No real plans for today... some sweater sewing and knitting.. maybe i will do a little editing or writing. I don't know. Hope everything is okay.

Happy Monday... finished a sock this morning, started on the second one. Did the banking.. Seamed more of the sweater...i can't handle too much of that..lol. But i will do it. The sleeves are ready to be attached. Last night I rolled a couple of hanks of wool into balls.. about 870 yards altogether. lol Today it's raining dark and dingy.. i was up at 5am.. after 7 hours of sleep, and i enjoy the quiet at that time. i can concentrate on my stuff before life begins..lol. Dinner today is leftovers so not much cooking needed either. I listened to a couple of episodes of Into the Fog with Peter Laws on YouTube, which were super creepy.. geez. I bought peaches on Friday and they have all ripened nicely in their paper bag. Into the fridge for them. Had one with breakfast.. mmmm, very nice. I love peaches. Anyway.. enough blabbing. Good day people. After a fairly awful of feeling like crap yesterday. Likely because of not enough sleep, i went to bed at 10...listened to the app. Heard about 2 minutes of it and was gone. i got up at 6am.. was awake a couple of times but slept more than i have for some time. Yay! I think it's Thursday. I need to get out to cut the grass, take a walk, walk the dog later on. Maybe i will look at a story ... work on some knitting. Basically, stay out of trouble. lol... Happy Wednesday... i downloaded a sleep hypnosis app from the playstore.. i laid down yesterday for a nap and listened to it, i think i managed about 2 minutes and didn't hear the rest. I tried again when i went to bed and heard about 2 or 3 minutes and not the rest. lol... i didn't sleep too badly but it may have just been exhaustion. They are good. I gotta make some myself. I made blueberry oatmeal the other day and they were good. Also made oatmeal bars because they are easy and amazing. Actually better after being frozen for some reason.
