Well, the saga continues... was supposed to go get my tooth fixed tomorrow. Guess what, they want me to wait until August 11.. For my gum to heal..this is coming from the lab... never mind that the dentist never touched my gums. Which are healthy because i use a Waterpik on them on a daily basis. All of this started May 5th.. And still, i'm waiting to get a single tooth capped. Will it be over on August 11.. No, no it will not because that day i am going for yet more impressions, which will be sent to the lab. So at least another week for that to be done. Then i'm sure my dentist will be taking a two-week vacation.

The baked beans are cooking in the mini crock pot ... and 5 big peppers are now stuffed with sauteed onion and carrots.. ready for the freezer.

Happy Tuesday ... i've got some kitchen duty this morning...but i have never felt less like cooking. This has been going on for at least a week. I think i need to do something different... i like this person's YouTube Channel...Of course, i won't be doing anything of his today...but i'm going to pick one. Fires are normal in nature. Some of them should burn. That's interesting about the swamp. Wow.

You should wear a good mask if it's like that. It was bad up here. Some people seem to think it's easy to put these fires out. Sadly, it isn't, like the wildfires out in L.A. last year. I know more firefighters have been hired, and they are buying more water bombers and helicopters. But these are not campfires, they are massive. Let's hope things improve soon for all our sakes. Look after yourself.

Went out for a walk today, no mask required. We had rain, but i doubt it affected our fire situation in Ontario. We got an air purifier, which is interesting. It's been going for a few days now, and normally, it shows 0 or 1 PM (particulate matter) in various micrometer sizes. Like 1 or 2.5 or 10. However, last night when we dried and seasoned our cast iron frying pan, it when from 0 to 170 in a couple of minutes. The warning light went from nice blue to bright red. Once we turned off the stove and the pan cooled down, it returned to 0 or 1. But that was interesting. Anyway, good to know the air is pretty clean. It should help Michael with his allergies too. For some reason, years ago, before i got married, i was around Georgian Bay. We decided to swim. It was end of September, so that lasted all of 30 seconds because the water was so cold. That was my skinny-dipping career.

It's good to have an intelligent and thoughtful response to read here in these comments. Hopefully, Tag can escape his past (well, as much as is possible, cuz you never forget things like this) and can go on to have a good life with Ash. About your challenge question.. i think Taggert will buy the Nasser Ranch, the Flemming Ranch (is that the name?) and fire everyone but Ash, James, Branford, the chef and his wife and a couple of others. Taggert will then build a huge ranching empire and become a trillionaire with a big heart. In the summer he will invite lots of poor kids to have a dude week.

Mother Nature putting her foot down because of how we treat our home? Maybe.

We just ordered a bigger one which will handle the house.. what we have is from Michael's hobby room for his spray painting. It'll arrive tomorrow, cuz they say it's not over yet... geez.

Stewed rhubarb with custard is an old English favourite. And Apple, strawberry, rhubarb crisp is wonderful too.

I've been to a cottage once. Never went camping. I do sometimes venture outdoors, mainly to shovel snow, mow the lawn, sit under a nice umbrella on the lawn, with iced coffee or tea and mess around in my little garden. If we decide to go farther, then it will be hotels for sure.
