Topic: Men Beside me in my lil creative corner of the living room, sits a small end table where my laptop is when not on my lap, a very old poinsettia (it must be getting on for nine years old now- the base of it is wood now, not green stalk anymore... it came from the grocery store and decided to stay), a spider plant growing in water, a bottle of lubriderm and some kleenex (no Wayne, just no). My Husband, who is working from home today was in the kitchen and looked out and said to me, "Did you put more plants down there." "Sorry? What plant?" "The spider plant." I said, that's been there over a year. He looked at me and said., "Really?" I said, yep, at least that long. I wouldn't mind but He sits on the other side of the same table. Sigh.

On the balcony where we used to live, it got to 120f in the sun. Horrible. While it's like this, i don't venture much past our backyard.

i can't get past 80f... it's just too hot for me..

My mum grew it in our backyard when i was a kid. I talked to Dan and looked up the best times to plant. You can plant it in late fall, but Dan isn't thrilled with that idea, so we'll go for the early spring option. He has a garden plan, so added rhubarb to it. Your youth...lol, sorry made me laugh. Not really sorry..

Happy Sunday aka World Lion Day. ... no i did not say World Lying Day, which i don't think is a thing and shouldn't be, but there is Tell a Lie Day which happens just after April Fools Day and is supposed to be fun. Personally not a fan of April Fools or now, Tell a Lie Day. Anyway.. here's the reason for this day... Keep cool if you're somewhere hot..

i'm okay thanks and hope you and your mom are... oh man that must have been warm with the power outage. geez. Yeah i buy frozen strawberries and rhubarb and then throw in some apple too. But i'll talk to Danny and maybe we can grow some. stay cool.. cold damp cloths around your neck can help.. night xoxo

We all love rhubarb. It cost more than meat in the store.. $5.99 CDN per pound. i'm going to see is we can grow some next year. I hope you get your money back from you bank issue. And charming bank people are always nice.

in the kitchen cooking ... today at 95F is the coolest of the next few days. Making strawberry, apple & rhubarb crisp and baking a very large quiche. There will be lots of salad and some bbq ribs over the next few days. Happy Saturday.
