How do you know you've done this? Have a good Friday. As some know, i've been sick...that is sicker than my usual sicknesses that don't go away. i'm grumpy from being sick this week and don't feel like my bouncy self. I don't even want a donut. ugh

Box? Chair? Empty keg? Where there's a will, there's a way, even for dachshunds.

Great way to deliver a powerful message. Thanks for sharing. -
i wear many labels, some of my own making, many from others. It's not a good feeling. Your poems are wonderful and i hope they touch others as they have done me. Thank you, Parker. xoxo

All of them are well done. But my favourite is this one In God we may trust But people must not use him to justify hate There are some 'special' Christians in this world of ours who use a big yellow highlighter while reading the Bible. Thanks for all of these.

Chapter 1 - The Spice of Life
Mikiesboy commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The Spice of Life
You've painted our world, Bill. Let's hope we can find ways to work together to keep and celebrate all its diversity. -
Nice job. It's a good poem. Keep writing them when you're motivated to.

Have a fantastic day and weekend, everyone.

i find that Americans love to label everything...too much so. I've heard the terms you've mentioned used but we get so much American stuff in Canada, we use the terms as well. But nowhere near as much as you do down there. And Happy Friday.

hope you feel better soon, chris xo

Chapter 1 Michael and Me
Mikiesboy commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Chapter 1 Michael and Me
thank you. i'm glad you've known the same in your life. xo -
wonderful things you've done, your To-Do list is something we should all aspire to. I remember when my nephew came in, years ago now, saying he'd discovered this amazing guy to follow on Then-Twitter. Elon Musk, who was full of brave ideas - How the mighty have fallen and betrayed many who admired him. But I digress. Thank you for these beautiful scenes, I'm grateful as always for your words and more glad that you can write them. I'm afraid i no longer write. It seems a fruitless task. Thanks to you, though.

Have a good one, all.

i've dropped blueberries in a grocery store parking, not with these results however! Happy Valentine's Day, Parker.

You remember, and because of you, we do, also. You cannot save everyone; some do not want to be saved. Life is relentless. Thank you for these.

Welcome to the Drop-in Centre empath. You joined, so you automatically have friends—no 'making' required! Feel free to chat with us any time you feel up to it. Regarding your post, we all miss things and see them once we post our work, no matter how much we review and edit. It's just the nature of our brains. Little things don't bother me, but no paragraphs, capitals, or proper punctuation bother me. Those are not just accidents. They are careless. I know you were asking Tim, but I also chose to reply. -

That happens to all of us. That said, we are amateurs, meaning we do what we do for the love of it. Amateur comes from the Latin amator, ‘lover,’ from amare, ‘to love.’ I've said this before, but my favourite quote about this word comes from a film called A Christmas Without Snow. The scene is the choir master, Ephraim, who is dealing with who will get the solo. One woman, an opera-like soprano, is angry because she wasn't offered the part...she called the choir amateurs.... Ephraim Adams: Mrs. Burns is right, of course; you are amateurs, unlike certain pseudo-professionals like myself who insist on slave wages. Your voluntary and steadfast attendance at these rehearsals fully qualifies you for any definition of the word "amateur." What Mrs. Burns and many others are wrong about is the meaning of the word, which has to do with motivation, not quality. Remember "amo, amat, amas", the Latin verb "to love". The meaning of "amateur" is "he or she who does a thing for the love of it." There is no higher reason for singing than the love of doing it. In that respect, you do qualify as amateurs. And I salute you for it.
