Yeah, but I think he had good reason to panic. But Robert is ever the voice of reason, thankfully. He's a good father.

No. LOL . I have not forgotten. Kanaan is definitely the spider. They can hang around a long time...and have much patience. Who knows how long it actually took him to catch Ahmet. But he did.

You could be right...

You're not too late. We're open 24/7! Thanks for your comments. Andrew does have his issues, but he's basically a good fellow. All the comments are terrific.. and they make me think. About what's next, what I can do better, what to look for in the next story. I thank all of you for that. I'm very humbled and grateful to you all. 💙

Can we say... it's Wednesday somewhere.. or does that only work for the opening times of bars?
-
You're right. Let's hope Matt finds what he's looking for. Thank you, Michael. xo

Your mom may have had something to do with Maeve. ❤️

A confident tone of voice can inspire trust. There's an expectation you will listen to a command.
-
I think most of us agree with you. Matt, sadly, does not. I think Maeve would love him to stay so she can look after him, teach him to cook, and fix his life generally.
-
That's because we post stories chapter by chapter rather than the whole book. If it were a whole book, you could binge-read it all in a day. I think if we posted it all at once, we wouldn't have had these great interactions. I know, i see people read my other stories and i see the reaction, but no comments, nothing at the end and no reviews. That's fine, but the comments are nice. I like to know what people think. The comments are one of the best things about GA.

Andy is lacking all over the map; you're right. Andy knows; I think Matt needs support. What he doesn't know is how to give that to him. Matt is a grown-up and wants to get away. What can be done to stop him? If Andy didn't give him the funds, what would Matt do? Maybe he would do nothing and go home, or he might decide he has to get to Turkey at any cost. So, he hitchhikes and walks. That could leave him open to more danger. At least with some funds, he can fly, get a hotel room, etc. I've been drawn into some stories that way. It shows you care and are passionate, and that's a good way to be. I am grateful that you enjoy this story as much as I do. Thank you!

Matt will soon be a free adult with money and a passport. He probably thinks he's coping okay, but time will tell if that's the truth.
-
Maybe at some point. There's an odd number of chapters left, so I will squeeze one in somewhere. However, my " I don't do anything much all day" life has decided to be kind of different for the next month, so I don't have a date. I will post something when I decide.

Lord have mercy. I can promise I did not write about that about Ahmet. Is it Wednesday on Tuesday in Australia?
-
You're pretty much right. If he goes back home, he will have no choice but to hide.
-
I agree. He wishes things were different but pushes those feelings aside to do what Matt needs. That's a point for Andy.

You're right.. only time will tell. I'm not too worried about Andrew. He's strong enough to fend for himself. Matthew hasn't faced up to how messed up he is yet. You can avoid thinking about that for a while, but it does catch up to you. Once Matt has his passport, he will leave the Island and its inhabitants. What will become of him?

Hi P.E., Andrew seems to think all those things. From what we know, he's not too successful with relationships. And Matthew and Ahmet...real or simply comfort while under Kanaan's thumb? Stay tuned...

Thanks, Parker. Matt is a survivor, fighting to get right with the world and to follow his heart. His heart isn't with Andy or Maeve right now, but that may or may not change. A lot is riding on this trip to Turkey.

Andrew will likely donate that money. Matt is privileged because he was the first to receive some of it.
-
Is it too soon? Oh, probably. Not much can be done other than if they tie Matt down. He's not a prisoner, so he can do as he pleases as soon as he has a passport. Andrew seems to rush into liking men that he doesn't truly know. Why would he decide Matt is the one? It's kind of weird.

This is from Wiki: Ahmet is the modern Turkish transliteration. Modern Turkish uses a Latin-based alphabet, and most Arabic-derived names have standardized Turkish spellings. The less common transliterations of Ahmad are used by Muslims outside the Middle East proper, such as in Indonesia and Russia. We'll see what happens when Matthew leaves to visit Turkey. You're right about Matt and his mother. We don't know, but there are a few things Matt has mentioned along the way. Has she noticed Matt is missing? We know he wasn't living at home when he was taken. Does she care? With luck, we'll find out more. Police are not fond of people doing things like this...often it can just make matters worse. The money...Andy did keep it separate, and now there's a good reason to spend it. Hopefully, Matthew will get something from his journey. Something he wants. He deserves some peace. Thank you for your comments, mayday! xo

I agree. He thinks the book will be more authentic if the author steps into that world. I guess that's not wrong. It's reckless and insane but not wrong.
-
That's true. But Matt's mother likely hasn't had a missing son before. I'm just playing devil's advocate.
-
Hi Al, You're right we don't. We've only got Matt's opinions to go by.
