Happy Saturday and International Moon Day. I've written several poems about the moon.. here's one: Summer’s cool evening breeze found us Sharing wine, bread and cheeses; hard Our laughter could be heard o’er the glen and echoed softly in the old churchyard When the harvest moon, its light did share We’d meet and then, after a glass or two O’er this tidy, rolling path, we’d wander Marveling at the orb’s glorious orange hue Most winter nights were never clear And the moon’s soft, reflected glow Would lighten the grey, woolen skies As arm-in-arm, we walked below Now full circle, has our life come This path, again, I walk on my own Above, the moon is full and bright But March winds chill me to the bone The moon aloft is my only company While I add fresh flowers before your stone I’m lonely, my heart hitches, and I know Soon, you’ll no longer reside here alone You and I will have eternity together Fulfilling the promises we each had made We’ll stroll this path forever and always Under the moon’s brilliant cascade. Have a great Saturday!!! Happy Moon Day!!

Robert and Andrew had expected Maeve to react with horror to the news the writer brought her, but she hadn't. Much later, Robert would say to Andrew, "We should have known better." Maeve listened with a heart that held only love and compassion. "Aw, the poor lad. Of course, I’ll not say anything. I’ll help if I can." Maeve’s common sense and organized nature took over. "When will he arrive? What will he need? I think it best we sort that out now, with the weather coming." "Aye, Maeve

Thank you, Michael. xo

Thank you, Alexmugs. Many people agree with you about how Andy saved Matt. They'd probably feel the same way about speeding. Robert is so stalwart, and Andy is lucky to have him and can count on him. Thanks again!!

Thank you for the comments. I usually try not to do what is usual. That said, the use of italics is the writer's choice and is a well-known writing style. It's also a well-known industry standard to eliminate quotation marks, as these are internal thoughts and not spoken words. Using italics makes the character's thoughts stand apart from the narration. Allowing the characters internal dialogue often reduces the long-winded narration required to explain their thoughts. I hope that the above clarifies the use of italics.

Extremely late... don't ask. Hope you're all having a nice Friday.

To Everything There Is A Season
Mikiesboy commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in To Everything There Is A Season
Thank you! Chapter 6. I've read it a hundred times, and I still can't get through it unfazed. There is no need for a favourite. Like flowers, they do better in a bunch. Well, the exceptions are orchids and a perfect rose. Thanks again for choosing to read this. Since I am being shameless, if you can handle a little otherworldly stuff—it's mild, believe me—try The Searcher. That is my favourite, but it's just slightly ahead of Changes. Whatever you decide, thank you again for your comments and reading both these stories!! -
Thank you. You are right; this is a transitional chapter. We needed to move on a little bit. Andy is getting on with things, as you say. Matt and Ahmet are not a good idea on the boat. Maybe off of it? We'll see. Thanks again for your comments.

Money truly is the root of evil, and not only in Gulf states. Many wealthy people in North America treat 'regular' people poorly, and many don't as well. Hmm, drugging your boss. I like it. Thanks for reading and your comments!

Thank you, Alexmugs. Boat registration and international waters confuse things further. But don't quote me. I didn't write about all of that for several reasons. Andy is a decent guy, who screws things up, makes mistakes, follows his heart, and tries to do the right thing like most of us. Matt does have a hard road. Thank you for reading!

Sherye, I have to offer my sincere apology for not replying to you before now. 2020 was a terrible year. I was badly affected and wasn't on GA much. That's the only excuse I have. Thank you for sharing this lovely anecdote. You're so right about talking and sharing memories, it does help so much. Thank you for your comments. ❤️

Eh, we all have feelings and see things differently. Louis is basically me, and my Husband, who isn't wheelchair-bound, is sort of Don-ish. He leads, and I follow, and I knew that when I signed up for our relationship. We're pretty damned happy, though He does frustrate me at times. But it works. Other people may look from the outside and think I'm a doormat. I'm not, and I have ways of letting Him know how I feel when necessary. Ch 6 is likely the hardest thing I've ever written.

Interesting. Louis is a submissive guy who knows his husband is a steamroller. He says he was frustrated and upset when he was told this news. But he's also the kind of person who puts his needs aside for others, even though he says he's selfish. Let me know if you like the rest of the ride.

Hi, Al Norris... aw, thank you so much. These two are a pair who are very special to me. Shamelessly, i'll mention there is a part two.. Changes, Again, if have interest and some spare time. It's still Don and Louis but it's longer. It felt real for Don to charge in and tell Louis to take a lover and then be jealous. And I think natural for Louis to lean toward Harry as he was afraid and stressed and just needed someone. This story brought home to me how 'real' and getting things right, is important.. it hit me when a reader said they'd gone through the same with their husband and a motorcycle accident and Don and Louis' situation was very close to theirs. That hit me like a slap. I hadn't thought about that possibility. I'm glad you read this story and i appreciate your comments. Thanks again.

people are just dumb sometimes... oh he's a real adventurer that one

Aw, poor guy. Why would you separate him like that? I watch a few horse rescue things on youtube and i'm just horrified at the cruelty these poor animals endure. They are alive, breathing and intelligent creatures.

i'm so glad to see these. You mentioned being away in the comments on my current story and i asked if you'd write about it. We are all so lucky that you did! All of these are haunting and beautiful. I feel like i was standing in the meadow, on the ridge or beside the lake watching the bobbing loons. Simply glorious, Parker. Thank you ❣️

Happy Thursday. Now, having spent a pile of Michael's money on Prime Days, the motherload of stuff will arrive today! This means a lot of work in the kitchen. Shelves need to be cleaned, and organized stuff needs to be moved around while we wait for the new baker's rack to arrive. In the meantime, here is some good advice. There's likely not to be a 'next time' when it comes to life, so live yours: NOW!!! Have a good day all ❣️

Hello! It's so lovely to see you! Thank you for coming to read this story. You've made me smile this morning! I'm glad you enjoy the story, if that's the right word. Too much information is as bad as not enough. So, I thought a glimpse would be enough for a reader to see and as you say, you can imagine the rest. Thank you for your kind words. I'm doing the final edits on the next chapter, so it's ready to go on Saturday. Some people have mentioned wanting to know more about Dante and Mr. Black. I'm thinking about doing that, maybe as a companion piece. Thanks again for choosing to read this. 💖

Thank you, VBlew. Writing this part about Andy was interesting. I mean, I've never bought a person. So, I tried to put myself there as much as possible, but I was concerned people wouldn't buy it. I'm surprised, but happy people agreed with what Andy's done and confirmed they'd do the same if they had the means. I like that. There is more about Ahmet's fate coming up. Thanks again for your comments. I love to read them. 💜

Hmm, that's an interesting observation. When I wrote it, I didn't know what was to become of Ahmet. I'm not much of a planner when I write. Remember The Searcher and the cave? I had no idea that was going to happen. So we will see about Ahmet soon enough. Thanks, Reader. 💖
-
Thank you. I'm glad you find Robert and Doreen realistic. I wanted them to be a happy normal family. 💝
-
Thanks, Reader. Mr. Black is a monster, but he would disagree with that.
-
Nice ... I wasn't given a limit, and I've enjoyed spending Michael's money. LOL

Thank you, Gary L. You're very kind. Hopefully, not all bad stuff to come. There is hope. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment! I appreciate it. 💛
