  1. Just to let you know, the story you and @kbois became my editorial team for will start posting tomorrow as long as all systems are working properly—huge thanks to you and k.
  2. Happy Tuesday! I hope yours turns out to be wonderful.
  3. It's not summer yet, sadly. It's downright cold here today... cloudy, windy and like 48F. But i am not complaining. Any day i do not need the AC is a good one. So, i agree.. can we keep these cooler temps until October?
  4. Happy Monday all. I slept in until 9am which is a good thing because i've been very busy the last few days. Hope your Monday is a good one!!
  5. I made these for us this morning... mmmm soooo good. I changed the flour to whole wheat and the sugar to 1 tablespoon of splenda brown. Otherwise no difference. These were so good. We like cottage cheese so i just added it as is, but if you don't care for the texture, you could blend it first with the eggs. I wouldn't do it all in the blender because it gets very thick. I'd dump out the cheese/eggs mix and then add the flour and baking powder by hand. The oil in the recipe is meant to fry in. I used a good non-stick cast iron pan and a little oil and medium heat nothing stuck. https://momsdish.com/recipe/177/cottage-cheese-pancakes
  6. I hate tipping. Why? Because it's no longer what they were originally meant for. It was a thank you for the excellent service. Now, especially after COVID it's expected. I shouldn't be expected to make sure everyone has a living wage. I'll tip well if great service is provided. I shouldn't have to prepay a tip, so that my food is delivered to me within a decent time frame.
  7. That's so weird but pretty! LOL. Have you looked at your device's help page or Googled what's happening? It's not very important unless it bugs you.
  8. Can you review your kindle unlimited history?
  9. i've read the first and have started on the 2nd.. The Hag ... creepy. I think that whole series is on KU, which i have now, so yay. I hope you enjoy it/them.
  10. Of course.. oh.. do you know of an author called Erik Henry Vick? He's quite a good writer similar to Stephen King... https://www.amazon.com/Demon-King-Erik-Henry-Vick/dp/B08Z88S1RW
  11. Bread is baking, and a bunch of apples are in the dehydrator. I mentioned the zucchini thing to Michael, who is willing to try it. So, next time at the grocery store, I'll get a couple. They will be nice for snacks. I dehydrated a bunch of lemon peel, which I make into lemon pepper seasoning. It is so much nicer than the one you buy. Mmmm, lasagna. That may have to be an upcoming meal. Hmm, maybe with some dehydrated zucchini and eggplant strips in place of some of the noodles. They would have a different texture when they rehydrate in the lasagna than the fresh versions do. It's great with fresh, but that could be fun to try.
  12. Well... the next two week's bread is rising atm. The last of the previous bread has been toasted and consumed. So after yesterday's sugar fest, i bring you this... Have a super Saturday. If you're an author, write something, if you're not, please read something. Have a good day all!!
  13. I'll enjoy reading this fanfic piece once you post it.
  14. oh yes, that's right! You've done more than your fair share for Donut Day ... you get a donut shaped sticker!! 🍩
  15. Yes, it counts! Any celebration of the donut is welcome. I had a dutchie to celebrate!
  16. i'd try the zucchini because i do like it raw. My mum used to make a bowl of onion and tomato slices covered in a mild mix of vinegar and water. It was always a summer dinner staple.
  17. Life is too short to be holding on to grudges and just being nasty. Let it go and take the high road. This was a lesson learned after being the opposite kind of person for a while. Both of these are great prompts!
  18. i love my dehydrator too ... we especially love dehydrated apples, ive done strawberries as well. Interesting about the pepperoni. I've not tried it or making jerky as of yet. i'm not big fan of zucchini but that's cooked. i do like it raw, the chips are interesting. i may try them. Thank you for the recipe. Today, i will be making some fresh pickles with cauliflower, carrots, baby cucumber slices and red onion and a jar of red onions as well.
  19. I have forgone my usual advice and encouragement today, as it's a sort of Friday Double Dip... First, Happy Donut Day! Grab one of your favourites today! Or 12. Also, it is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. I've never had a donut and ice cream together, but for this Halley's comet/ blue supermoonish type event, I will try a Donut Chocolate Sundae. To make this event even more exciting, I will top it with a broken-up Crunchie Bar, as I was promised one by someone tall, but this has never appeared in my hot, sweaty hand! Just sayin'. For those who are not aware of what a Crunchie Bar is (i'm sorry for your sheltered life), here is a pic: Have a great Friday, and remember to eat lots of donuts and ice cream!
  20. And once again it is Thursday! Which means the weekend is zooming towards us!
  21. As noted by chris, it is Wednesday! So have a good one. It is also World Environment Day. While we cannot fix everything ourselves, if we all do a few small things, it can help. Here are some ideas. You can plant an e-tree if you use Microsoft Edge... here's mine: I've planted several trees so far. If you're interested in finding out more about what we can do to help, a quick search online will give you lots of options, like this one: pickling. Pickling prevents unnecessary spoilage, reducing the amount of food that ends up in landfills. Pickling food for longer storage is one of the many solutions for reducing food waste and the greenhouse gas emissions associated with it. Also, research shows that vinegar can improve the body's response to insulin and significantly reduce blood sugar after meals. I made a jar of these the other day. They are great on a salad, burger, or sandwich. It's easy to do with onions, and fresh pickles are wonderful anytime. Next, I'm making fresh pickles with onion, cauliflower, and carrots. https://cookieandkate.com/quick-pickled-onions-recipe/ Enjoy and help save the world.
