Isn't a casual comment like this how you got me started on writing Embers? I might have through together a rough first chapter, but if it wasn't for you and my husband fanning the flames I would have extinguished the idea.

But with Ethan's gifts, does he qualify as her stepson? That quote though is very fitting since Mother Nature has been showing just how pissed off she is.

At least you made it to the party. All the chapters were fun to work with you on, but a good fight scene is enjoyable. Yeah, I know Mann would probably want one of the firefighters decapitated by Brandon's claws as he flew through the air from Ethan's throw. Might have to save that idea for a future book. It's probably for the best I added Ethan calling Bran a Pomeranian after we finished. I'm not sure we would have got past the laughing and jokes for a while.

Thank you, Centex. You called it on the last chapter by saying if someone got seriously hurt, Brandon would lose it. Two people who had to fight through their youth makes for one interesting brawl.

Thank you, Miles. They've already helped him a lot just be realizing what he is.

From the sounds of it, Ethan and Aiden want to make an effort to help him.

So far his experience in Australia has gotten him to see being a lycan in a different light. He's found people outside the bubble of his current pack who he likes being around. He even had a decent time taking after trading punches with Ethan.

The Council has a database from known packs. It would have been standard procedure to check it when his alpha took him in. If his parents weren't in a pack, there would possible be nothing to find.

Thank you as always, Gee. So far those are the questions. Doubt he'll do much in the meantime regarding now that he knows. He's still got work to do and a lot to learn about himself.

Thank you, Mike. This was a fun chapter to write. Thankfully the real world hail storm that hit wasn't as bad as this one.

It's good to get along. Though another knock down, drag out might be fun.

    Chapter 50

Thank you, Silverwolf. Considering there was a time I didn't think I'd ever get past chapter 7, it's gratifying to know this book has been so well received. I never imagined at the time it would be reach a 4th book with possible a couple more in the works.

    Chapter 50

I need to pay better attention. I hadn't seen this comment. I can't think of a better compliment than someone telling me they enjoy it multiple times. As always, thank you, Jefferey.

“LACKIE!” Brandon scrambled from his spot under a truck before anyone could stop him. Sprinting to the downed man, he grabbed him under the arms, and dragged the battered and bleeding body towards the nearest cover. Hail up to the size of golf balls continued to fall around them. The sound of the ice impacting his helmet was deafening. A strike to his back by a larger object knocked the wind out of him, muffling his call for help. Another hail stone the size of a baseball struck his leg, droppin

    Chapter 1

Talk about awkward. Not sure what would be worse, cutting out on a hookup with someone like that or having sex with the guy only to find out you work with him. You're a good writer.

    Don't Go There

I like this. It's very well done.
  19. Oh, this one is good. Lucky for Carl that Marlon didn't decide to add that first edition to the fire. I had a friend who had a pet skunk. Always mentioned how affectionate it was.

    Learning the Ropes

Somehow I missed that you'd commented here. I apologize for that. And thank you.
  21. I enjoyed this when I beta read it, The final product is wonderful. It flows very well. Ritch is a product of his upbringing, he may not like the spotlight and all that comes with it, but he still does what's needed to get the job done. You're characters and their world are so fun. I needed this distraction this morning. Thank you for making my lunch break enjoyable.

I still think you're one of the strongest people I know. You can express things with a beauty that's all your own. Even when that beauty is describing an inner pain. Love you, my friend.
  23. I enjoy the interaction with my readers. I've met some wonderful people on GA as a result of their comments, both positive and negative. It helps me grow as a writer to hear what works and where I'm screwing up. That said, I know a lot of people don't actually log in to read. I'm guilty of that a lot of times. I have to remind myself to log in and go back to those chapters to comment or at least leave a reaction. It can cause a writer to grind their teeth when people try to guide the story where they feel it should go, but that's part of doing this. Writing is my hobby, something I won't ever get paid for, and I offer it free to anyone who wants to read it, so in the end I guess all I should care about is seeing the view count increase. Anything else is a bonus.
  24. I always value your opinion, Kitt.

Thank you, re2. I figured I had a 50/50 shot with this story. I'm happy with the response so far.
