    Chapter 13

Nice to see you writing again. TJ is a character you sometimes want to hug and hold and other times bitch slap him. But his faults make him a fun character and he's had a lot go on in a short time. It's rough what John went through and wouldn't be surprised if their long term effects from it. TJ is brash enough to be the one person who could get through. Well done, JayT.

I'm going with your comment from chapter 11. They aren't perfect, mistakes happen, and having perfect control in the big picture of what's happening is difficult. Yeah, there was someone working against them, but it's unknown if that was the case each time they failed. With all the variabilities in play when they made their first attempt, even without another Elemental countering their work, the uncontrolled hail storm might have still hit. I'm onto you though. You're trying to get me to write something about that and totally trash their abilities in a way that without a doubt it was their fault. lol. Hmm, this could be fun.

Even though I didn't intend it, Ethan always ended up with plot armor that made him invincible. Believe it or now, he can make mistakes and things don't always go as planned. It's nice to make him almost human.

Thank you, Smoothy. I've always been attached to Ethan the most. For me him and Aiden were different sides of myself. One the homeless teen who found his place. The other the anchor to hold on to life. Brandon is now up there with the other two, for me at least. He gave me a way of shaving my experiences with the Australian fires. Early on as I was starting this, I talked to Carlos about the project. He and my husband pushed me to do it. I needed a way to deal with the effects of the fires. More so after the California fires hit later in the year. I think Carlos made a joke about Ethan coming in to save the day. That lit a flame and gave me a good explanation for some of the wild weather we had to deal with. Particularly that hail storm that came out of no where. I know some readers were concerned the original characters would take over the story, but hopefully it remained Brandon's the entire way though with support from the veteran characters..

Thank you, Bre. It's always fun when I get a chance to talk to you. I've always appreciated how supportive you've been. And a nod of professional courtesy from one dancer to another.

You always make me smile, Gee. I'm going to say his wolf had some of his fur back for his run with Dainen, maybe like a husky that's been shaved. Ultimately he recovered all his fur to look like the beautiful wolf he was before getting barbecued.

Jeffrey, thank you so much. I was unsure about this as I wrote it. Trying to figure how much to share about the fires and hoping I could build characters that interested the readers was a difficult process and hung me up several times. The response from you and everyone else leaves me pleased with how this turned out.

I admit that part of my fun in writing has been working with you, Carlos. The other part is sharing it with everyone here and seeing their reaction. Thanks for everything you continue to teach me. Also, thank you for allowing me to use Spencer Liston and the winery. It was a true joy for me to cross both our worlds in this small way.

Thank you, Centex! We'll see who the cast of characters is for the next. Pretty sure we haven't seen the last of Brandon.

“Wow, this is a great view, Dain.” Brandon looked across the bay from the Royal Botanical Gardens towards the Sydney Opera House with the Harbour Bridge behind it. “I can’t believe I was on top of that yesterday.” “I don’t know how you did that. No way anyone will ever get me that far up in the air.” Dainen reached for Brandon’s phone. “Give me that. I’ll take your picture.” “Fine, but I want one with both of us too.” He spotted an older couple walking past and approached them. “Excuse

  24. Really good chapter. I like the concept in your world that you can learn about any of this stuff in the library. The dinner was beautifully done and nice job on the detail. Also a good job on cliffhanger. Thankfully with the story completed, I don't have to wait to see what happens.

Thank you, Parker. Your reaction is what I was aiming for. People I met in Australia recommended things to see, but if it hadn't been for Carlos and the CJ series, Brandon and I would have missed out on seeing quite a lot.
