Having you on pins and needles is a wonderful compliment. Thank you, Quixo. Since I didn't kill off Dorian in The Alpha like I intended, I might have considered doing that to Brandon or another character here. I don't mind some bloodletting, but I liked these guys.

So I should have found a way to drag this out for a few chapters. Noted for the next book.

Thank you, Mike. Aiden was at least able to bring one area under control. Without her, there's been some improvement.

It's by far the longest healing session Ethan's ever done. The actions of an arsonist make no sense either, yet they still set fires. Remarkable though it was only something like 2800 homes that were destroyed with all the fires that took place across the country. While the fires were extremely destructive on their own, it wouldn't take much to tip the scale either way. I'm not saying the woman steered anything towards or away from populated areas or guided it away from heritage sights, but for as bad as things were, it could have been much worse. Now as for you laughing at a wolf with no hair, where did I put my razor. Punishment time.

LOL. Some time with his mate would be nice. Probably going to have to settle for two out of three for the moment at least. And thank you for being the 300th comment on the story.

“There’s Darius.” Casey pointed into the smoldering wasteland. “Something’s wrong. Why isn’t Cody with him?” Skidding to a stop near his friends, Darius panted to catch his breath. The ragged roars and growls were difficult to understand even for those who actually learned lion. “Ethan! Brandon… Bran needs you now! Cody’s carrying him. I don’t know if he’ll…” He pointed a paw back the way he had come to emphasize the urgency. “Let’s go.” Ethan followed the lion as Casey ran beside him.
  9. This is a fun chapter. The VW in the room would have been hilarious to see. Bremen's come along way and it's cool Baker was invited on spring break. Hell, even Joel and Mitch got laid. This chapter has it all.

Just like the other readers, you've got me smiling, Clancy. Much of the fire damage could be attributed to weather conditions and climate change. But there is still plenty of opportunity for some Elemental intervention. When Ethan and Aiden returned to the Mutts he mentioned sometimes things works great, other times not so well. She may have felt untouchable surrounded by the inferno. The sounds of a fire of that intensity could easily block out the sounds of someone approaching. Especially a wolf that hunts by stealth.

Ethan's difficulties might or might not have all been as a result of another Elemental. As Nightlit pointed out on the last chapter, fires are inherently unpredictable and violent on their own.

LOL. Just please don't use tiki torches like the groups did in Charlottesville. It takes away from the effect. I want to see big, flaming torches.

No matter if it's story related or not. If it's helpful to anyone reading it, definitely most welcome.

The comments from all my readers make me smile. I knew someone would catch that line. I'm not at all surprised it was you, Gee.

Thank you, Mike. A slight shift in wind is all any fire needs to explode in intensity. Stay tuned for next weeks episode.

No such thing as too much time. Besides, overage juvenile delinquents make like more fun apparently.

This is lovely. You always draw vivid images with your writing. As a wolf, people are usually leery of venturing into the woods with me, but I'd happily trot along with you anytime.

All good questions. Wait, who's Brandon? Now if I was an evil person, I'd take my ques from a very talented writer who ended a book with one of his main characters getting into a helicopter crash. All of a sudden this sounds like a good place to end this book. lol

Thank you, Centex. It's fun to know I can still surprise some of my readers. You just might earn a rub of that hairy belly. Oh wait, now I'm sounding like the guys I work with and write about.

Need me to release the wolves on anyone? Downtime conversations tend to go all over the place. All depends on how much energy or emotional energy the people have to talk. Just like in Cadets, there can be a lot of sexual banter at times. More so when the team is familiar with one another. Caution is used around outsiders and especially when women are present. Among the US crews I've heard plenty of jokes wishing a fag or two was around to take care of things. I usually raise my hand and say, "there is one here, but he's not desperate." The guys in Australia tended to be fun and chatty. If they knew the touristy stuff, they told me. There'd be the same sexual banter due to lots of guys going weeks with nothing but their hand or whatever they could stealthily do around the camps. Basically same rule applies, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
