Hugz to you tim I know what I was going to get and was ready for it. Seeing my old bike out front and hearing a young voice inside, the only pain I felt was knowing the little brother I'll never get to meet was feet away from me. I may have stopped at the village church to show my boy some of the places I used to go. And it wasn't my fault the reverend was there and recognized me. So people who know my gran know her grandson didn't die after all.
Pools clear as crystal,
With vibrant blues and turquoise.
We look on in awe.
At the beauty of nature,
Granted by the fairy pools.

Open countryside,
Riding along moors and lochs.
Not a soul to see,
As the road passed under us;
The highlands magic enchants.

The lake of legends;
Long, cold, and so very deep.
The surface ripples,
As people gather to watch,
The wonderment of Loch Ness.
It looks just as it did,
With my old bike by the front door.
I had brief second thoughts,
But with your love I have the strength;
Still, uncertainty reigns.
A knock on the door commits me.
The face is familiar,
I know the woman who greets me.
Recognition sets in,
And her eyes harden to a glare.
Not a hint of remorse,
Only venom and bile are shown.
Gracefully bowing out,
I bid the old woman farewell.
Returning to your side,

History surrounds us,
As we wander the castle grounds.
An ancient monument
That's withstood the passage of time.
You are the thick stone walls,
Lined with batteries of cannons.
The rock that never yields,
And the fortress around my soul.
In the heart of Crown Square,
As the bagpipes play for the crowd;
I knelt to take your hand.
Your answer is stronger than stone.
On July 30th, 2019 in Crown Square at Edinburgh Castle, Scotland, I asked my
Thank you to @AC Benus and @Mikiesboy for putting this together and all those who contributed and read this collection. Mourn, reflect, remember, or just celebrate the lives of those who were lost and those who survived. It's a wonderful tribute from a wonderful group of people who make this more than just a website.
Thank you, Normischell While I've made some big changes in places it's the smaller ones I tend to enjoy more. Adding a more human or lycan feel to it brings this to the story I originally wanted.
All three are wonderful. #3 reminds me of every time I look at the projects I've got pending with no additional chapters written in months As well as a few unfinished poems.
These are beautiful, tim. Trusting our own voice is difficult at times, but even when it leads to the wrong road, there's always another turn up ahead. The second one has strong meaning to me. You've paid your debt to the spectors and monsters and they owe you a refund. You are a wonderfully gifted poet
Thank you, Acid. I've been trying to work on two new books in the series for the last year. It hasn't progressed beyond the first couple chapters. Trying to decide where to go with them and how to incorporate into the stories timeline has been a challenge.
Thank you, Parker. My boy went back and forth as well. His voice sounding more hurt with each of the first four lines as he read them aloud in question. I couldn't help but laugh when I heard him yell, "Damn horse."
