I just watched a movie on Netflix last night, after Max went to bed, called Bullet Train. It's one of those "John Wick" type of movies where everyone seems to be a professional contract killer, or connected to the criminal underworld in some way. At one point, the soundtrack had a version of the song....in Japanese.
It's really an interesting story. The young man is just starting out in his career as a ballet dancer, while the older man is retired and struggling to find something to occupy his time. Both are suffering from personal losses, but they find a way to encourage each other to follow their dreams. The dynamic is sort of like a surrogate father and son.
I took Max to the doctor today for a wellness check. I wanted to take him to my own doctor, but Morgan suggested a pediatric specialist. Max got a clean bill of health, but the doctor's attitude left me seething. Just because someone went to medical school, doesn't mean that they know everything.
