  1. Howdy, Albert! I see you changed your wand and robes for a cowboy hat and spurs.
  2. I love lemon crepes. 🤤
  3. We're having eggs in the basket with oven-cooked bacon.
  4. I watched A Wrinkle in Time today with Max. He got a funny little smile on his face when Levi Miller appeared onscreen, as if his heart was set a-flutter. I teased him a little bit by saying, "Is Michael forgotten so soon?" Max responded by giving me a pained look. It was a look that clearly said, "C'mon, Dad, don't be dumb!" I got told.
  5. We're doing well, thanks.
  6. You'd be very cute.
  7. @Comicality Thanks for the ballet video! I showed it to Max, and he was thrilled! Surfers are pretty amazing, too! I'd probably drown if I tried this!
  8. I'm keeping your family in my thoughts, Gary.
  9. This kid has the best attitude, and a wonderful laugh!
  10. Then why do they have ankle monitors?
  11. Hey, Spunky Drewster!
  12. Awww, cute! He is adorable, Drew. This is Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires, known by his professional name, Yohio. He's a Swedish expatriate who moved to Japan because of his obsession with anime and Japanese pop culture. While there, he started working as an actor, model, and singer.
  13. Australia does seem to have more cute guys per capita. Troye Sivan, Jack Vidgen, Levi Miller, Robert Irwin....the list goes on.
  14. Recently, I was reading a book called "Anything But Fine", by Tobias Madden. The MC, Luca, is an aspiring ballet dancer, but suffers a critical Lisfranc fracture in his foot after falling down some stairs. No longer able to dance, and having neglected the academic side of his scholarship, Luca is forced to transfer from his private arts academy to the public high school across town. Which is where he meets Mr. Popular, who, sadly, is straight. Or is he? Tbh, I was hoping that the romance would play a minor role, with the story focused on ballet and physical therapy, but that wasn't the case. There were several other major issues, and I almost DNF. I donated my copy to a secondhand store, as I don't care to read it again.
  15. Hey, Terry! Nothing new to report here, but maybe something interesting will happen during the week. I'll let you know if it does!
  16. I'm not much for seafood, but I'll make an exception for takoyaki.
  17. I've heard that they can become rubbery if overcooked, which is easy to do.
  18. Nope. Nope. No, definitely not.
  19. Max actually enjoyed the escargot, and finished most of it, except for one that Morgan sampled. I, however, decided to play safe and stick with the Croque Monsieur I'd ordered.
  20. Thank you, Spikey. Max is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Between Morgan and I, he's also taken a real shine to cooking. He even ordered escargot when we went out to brunch at this French place in town! I wasn't so thrilled about that, but of course I'm happy that he's willing to be adventurous.
  21. Couldn't tell you how many YA gay romance stories I've dropped because of cheating, or a tragic ending. Yes, cheating does happen, and yes, life is painful, but why do those have to be the only possible outcomes? One of my favorite books is The Music of What Happens, by Bill Konigsburg. The ending isn't tragic, but neither is it HEA. It's more of a "Happy for Now" ending.
