  1. Max actually enjoyed the escargot, and finished most of it, except for one that Morgan sampled. I, however, decided to play safe and stick with the Croque Monsieur I'd ordered.
  2. Thank you, Spikey. Max is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Between Morgan and I, he's also taken a real shine to cooking. He even ordered escargot when we went out to brunch at this French place in town! I wasn't so thrilled about that, but of course I'm happy that he's willing to be adventurous.
  3. Couldn't tell you how many YA gay romance stories I've dropped because of cheating, or a tragic ending. Yes, cheating does happen, and yes, life is painful, but why do those have to be the only possible outcomes? One of my favorite books is The Music of What Happens, by Bill Konigsburg. The ending isn't tragic, but neither is it HEA. It's more of a "Happy for Now" ending.
  4. LOL! I also have a son now! He's ten years old, and he loves dancing ballet. His name is Max.
  5. Like my brother-in-law, Mickey. He dated a girl for a while in middle school, but now he's engaged to his boyfriend, Remy.
  6. Aside from Heartstoppers, I've been watching Young Royals on Netflix. Two boys, one of them a prince, fall in love at a boarding school in Sweden.
  7. Yeah, he's been stirring up the kettle again.
  8. @spike382 Hey, Spikey.
  9. Since last night's dinner was so carb-heavy, today Morgan, Max and I will be having something lighter. Caramelized onion tart, accompanied by a simple salad.

  12. It went well, thanks.
  13. Well, you don't want to pile the macaroni too high. The cheese sauce shouldn't be too runny, either.
  14. Nope! They're actually quite tasty.
  15. I still have 16 months to go.
  16. For dinner tonight: mac and cheese burgers.
  17. Your age is showing. I remember that series on TV.
  18. Bates Motel was an excellent show, but I liked Freddie better in the movie "Toast".
  19. Awww, wth. I've got funds to spare, so I'll buy for everyone.
  20. I kept my yearbooks from all four years of high school. And the two from middle school, too! I had the same thought.
  21. Art imitates life.
  22. No, I haven't. Yup, we're doing well, thanks. In my senior year of high school, or maybe my junior year? It was so long ago, some of the details have faded. But anyway, I started dating this one guy who had a twin brother. One day after school, we were going to , but my then-boyfriend left the bedroom to get something. When he reappeared, he was already nekkid, and we just went at it. Then I realized: the person I was with had a birthmark on one hip, but my boyfriend didn't. Then my boyfriend came back into the room, and he was pissed. They started arguing over me. One thing led to another, and I ended up with both of them.
  23. Hey, Albert. How are you and Steve?
