Just finished Trouble in the Stars, by Sarah Prineas. Honestly, I loved Trouble from the very first page of this book. An entity that can shift into nearly any biological form (provided there's enough food), Trouble is a funny, clever, devious little person that can escape from most sticky situations as easily as They stumble into them.

Well, I remembered that Mickey and Remy started dating in the Fall of 2017. I used this calculator to get a rough estimate of the number of days since the lads started dating. It was 1332 days, give or take. https://www.calendardate.com/calculator.htm? 1332 ÷ 365 = 3.6 years.

As near as I can calculate, it's been 1300+ days, so, maybe closer to 4 years. Maths were never my strong point.

Mickey is turning 18 tomorrow. A small gathering will be held at the in-laws' house, with social distancing and sanitary measures taken. A few days ago, Mickey asked Morgan for a monetary loan. When Morgan asked what the loan was for, Mickey replied that he wanted to buy something for his boyfriend, Remy. They went shopping downtown, and returned an hour later. I'm not 100℅ sure what they picked out, but I had my suspicions when I saw the bag from Miner's North Jewellers.

I was watching a show last night called Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation. A couple was searching for a place on Galveston Island, Texas. After finding their ideal location, they set about converting the unfinished basement into a guest apartment. However! Galveston Island is a barrier island, which is essentially a large sandbar. Most houses in such an environment are built on pylons or stilts, with a storage area or maybe an outdoor shower stall underneath. Why? Because, hurricanes. When hurricane season starts, that guest room will be under 10 ft of water. The whole time I was watching the show, I kept thinking, "That's a terrible investment." The basement was left unfinished for a reason.
