From my own hospital visit when I was 6 or 7, I remember Insta-spuds and some boiled carrots that were completely devoid of flavor. There was also a bread roll which tasted like it came from a carpentry shop, choked down and chased by one of those round containers of apple-flavored sugar water. Certainly there were no eggs or meat of any kind!
I'm sure some would say "If you fall in love with more than one person, choose the second one. Because if you were really in love with the first person, how could you fall for the second person?" But I'm going to stand by the Jack/Tracy pairing. Dr. Butler is a riot! I look forward to the next chapter.
Took me a while to get to this one! Been busy with work, and laundry, and reading other stuff, mostly non-GA books. I agree with the comments above. Sarah needs to find a black hole she can jump into. Is the grocery store scene, like, a fulfillment of Brandon's dream about Billy Chase? I love grocery shopping. It's so much fun, especially when you're with the love of your life. So, any hints about what will be in the next chapter?
Yesterday's wind gave us some 5-foot waves on West Traverse Bay. All of the trees along the shoreline are frosted with ice sicles from the spray. Today seems much calmer, however. Currently, it's 24 F / -4.4 C outside, with plenty of sunshine.
Lemon custard donuts! YUM! And The Filling Station has a new specialty on the menu. It's called the Reveler's Pie. Marinara, roasted garlic, oregano, sweet and pickled peppers, fresh spinach, red onions, mozzarella and smoked Gouda, with Andouille sausage from Poche's of New Orleans.
