Morgan, Mickey, and I spent the day in Grand Rapids. We had lunch at Downtown Market. It's basically a giant food court inside a renovated post-modern building. For lunch today: Detroit-style pizza from Field and Fire Bakery, washed down with sparkling lemonade from the cold case. For dessert, a Chocolate Fudge "Fridgie Cake" from Sweetie-licious Bake Shoppe.
Watermelon is delicious. One of my favorite things to do is make watermelon salsa. Or shaved ice.
Potatoes are easy, and zucchini requires a bit more love. Carrots, on the other hand, can be tricky, at least in my experience. There's so many varieties, each with its own preference for soil/fertilizer conditions. And the seeds are so tiny!
Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. *scratches Thistle behind the ears*
37/2.7 here, and the sun is shining. On my way to work this morning, I saw a bald eagle snatch a squirrel off the asphalt on Boardman Avenue. Rough neighborhood, I thought to myself.
