    Chapter 7

Hmm. Yeah, Groucho Marx would be considered old. If he was still around, he'd be 132 years old. Redd would be 100 on December 9th. I have shoes older than that!
  2. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Just come back for Christmas. Thanks!
  3. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

I'll have to look him up and see him younger.

    Chapter 8

I would really like to have the Christmas story start posting before the actual day. But...it's going to come down to time. We'll be in Amsterdam for ten days at the start of December, for the Sint Nicholas Eve and Day holiday period. I doubt much, if any, writing will get done during that holiday. I plan to write like crazy between now and the time we leave, and we'll see how it goes. I only have so much free time each day. And, I'll write like crazy when I get back. I want to make sure I can post the story with no breaks while I catch up. My method has always been to have a story completed before I start posting. What I need is an elf with a time sense to finagle things a little!

    Chapter 8

    Yep.

    Chapter 8

That's an excellent comparison. Tallfield is a little younger. But Russell had the demeanor down pat!
  7. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Oops. Forgot to do that 'complete' thing! Be right back!

    Chapter 8

Some quantum theories suggest that a sort of quantum echo of us goes on after the death of the body. And there are the many religious ideas of life after death. But no one alive now KNOWS for sure. So it seems to me it would pay to live your life as if it's the only one you will ever have. Enjoy it, push it to its limits, and, most of all, share it with others!
  9. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Aw. You're just sayin' that! You know, I was raised to believe it was fun to share my toys with the other guys. I'll have to tell my mom and dad they were right! Thanks!
  10. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Nah. I was mistaken for a hat rack in a restaurant just the other day! I do have a NICE collection of hats, though!
  11. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

No, don't die! It's much more fun to live to a ripe old age and spend the time PLANNING the reality want after you're gone! Have fun! I know what you mean about 'sciencey'. Some stories that hinge on real science need some to explain what's happening. I kind of prefer the tales like this one, myself, because I can make it all up as I go along! 😉 As for the Beatles...bring Paul and Ringo to Engris, and they can team up there with John and George. And now, almost LIVE, from the Spirit Dome on dark, mysterious Engris...the FAB FOUR! Gonna be a really big SHOE!

    Chapter 8

I WISH it was already written! It's started, at least.

    Chapter 8

Well, the realm of the dead isn't the same as an alternate universe. And, frankly, Keerby's talent with time will not be of much use in a place that doesn't have time! So it wasn't uppermost in Charlie's mind that they needed a time guy this trip. I just can't use every character in every story. I start losing track of them! But Robin does have a way of showing up at Christmas.
  14. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

I was worried about them, too, and I was right there in the front row, rooting them on! Pleased you liked this one. Where it will go now is...
  15. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

It would unsettle me to suddenly realize that 1) someone was taking over control of my mind; 2) such a power was out there! Christmas will be here SOON. Don't blink!
  16. Geron Kees

    Chapter 7

    Made 'ja think, huh?

    Chapter 7

Redd Foxx? That one HAS to be old!!

    Chapter 7

I'd tell, ya, but that would mean telling everybody! No fun in that!
  20. Never having encountered an antagah before, Charlie had no idea what to expect. Even so, what happened was...unexpected. At some point he became aware of a rushing sensation, of something large, suddenly surging from rest into motion. It was like walking into a broad field of grass and disturbing a large flock of birds on the ground, which rose suddenly and uniformly into the air, one massive cloud, winging away into the sky. The sensation was one of many, and yet his senses told him they a

    Chapter 7

And the matter of time - in a place where there is no time - complicates things even farther. But there is a solution to learning about where Tallfield came from originally...
  22. Geron Kees

    Chapter 7

One of the harder parts of reading a story can be waiting to get to the next chapter.
  23. Geron Kees

    Chapter 7

I agree. Not that I know, of course!
  24. Geron Kees

    Chapter 7

Primitive societies hopefully grow up at some point. But like with every teenager, it sometimes hurts like hell.
  25. Geron Kees

    Chapter 7

    Great synopsis, my friend!
