Augie is getting better with English, but it would detract from his unique personality to just have him sound like one of the guys. Augie said he would considering going with you to buy lottery tickets, but wants to know what his cut would be when you win?

It does allow us to see Lane in a more sympathetic light. Now, what to do about it? I did look at what sorts of safes were in use at that period and in that part of the country. Seems the Diebolds were slightly less expensive and a little more common. Nuclear blasts were still several decades away! Checkers are unique. You can still buy one, restored, for not a lot of money. The Aerobus is a LOT harder to find. But I wanted Jeremiah to be unique in more ways than one.

Sigh. There is no find and replace in the chapter editor here. Fixing the Auggie error will mean reading each chapter in edit mode and doing it manually, unless I can find and replace in my HTML editor at home and then copy the new file over the old one. The story posting software has changed considerably here over time, but it used to be you couldn't make that sort of a change without screwing something up. I guess I'll have to ask Myr if I can do that. Yeah, 'G's are important. Without them, I'd be signing my name as -- Eron

No, Jeremiah doesn't even know Robin's last name. Yet. The thing about poker games is that wild stories with aliens and spooks and the living dead get listened to and laughed at and no one ever thinks the teller is crazy. Poker games inspire weirdness and wonder. A good tall tale told around the table is admired, not derided.

Yep. Piece of cake! Horace may well be able to act as a go-between for the two genius loci. I know the character file is getting large! At least every one of the inhabitants of the Booniverse don't show up for every tale!
