Well, Pacha learned how to teleport from Max. I figured it was a two-way street! Ricky does have a flair for quickness and dexterity. Charlie tends to make correct decisions, but he also is often the one that sees a certain something in events that leads the whole gang into a new adventure. Kippy or Adrian often say that their skwish is telling them something, leading the adventure into motion; but very often, it's only after Charlie points them at something in the first place. But there will be something else for Charlie and Rick, I think. Something a little more interesting!

That was kind of what I meant. You can get the old dog to run, but you can't teach him any new tricks. I still have my first Commodore VIC 20, my Commodore 64, and my first Kaypro II. AND my first IBM 8088. All still run, and I still have software for them. But do I use them? Uh uh. I prefer my magic a little more modern these days!

There's nothing like holding a book or magazine in hand to read. I have collected books my entire life, and don't intend to stop until I drop. You can't collect electronic versions of anything (well, you can, but where the hell's the fun in that?). It's a matter of economics, mostly, and the changing demands of young moderns. I have one magazine subscription left out of the half-dozen I used to have. Lunacy, fortunately, has no dedicated medium. You can still read Mad online, and even subscribe to the electronic version. Since you ask both of these questions, you are obviously utilizing magic of considerable proportions. Only a fiercely magical person can move a finger and illuminate a world. And only a REAL mage can still get an old Power Mac to do anything at all! 🙂

Rick and Charlie have been 'waiting in the wings' for a while now. I guess they will both need a little push in the skwish department in the next story! But actually, both have displayed a certain talent or two already. But probably, only the author (that would be me), or someone who has just read the entire series straight through, might notice.

I never figured that every person labeled a 'pirate' had to be bad. That's like saying everyone that calls themselves a 'comedian' is funny! 🙂 And, more seriously, I have for years seen aliens depicted in books and films as unfathomable, and so different from us, and so far beyond us, as to be nearly impenetrable (when they're not here to eat us or rape our planet, that is). I tend to think that people are much the same all over. Differences in evolution aside, it will require a certain sameness of mind to gaze skyward, contemplate the cosmos, and then decide, "I gotta see this up close!"
