  1. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Was that fun? Oh. Oh. Never mind!
  2. Geron Kees

    Part 4

Whoo! Is that my head swelling? It hurts! There. That's better. I used a pin, and let the hot air back out of it! Thanks for the kind words. Farragut only advised 'full speed ahead' when it came to torpedoes. He also said, "The best defense is a well-directed fire from your own guns." The original proponent of 'shoot first, and ask questions later!" Doors? Did you mention doors?

    Part 2

Happy to see you again! This is one of my favorite series to write on. Max is a believer in the power of nothing. A little nothing goes a long way. The only thing harder to see than something is nothing, You get the idea!
  4. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Don't encourage him! just did that, and now look!
  5. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

If i was smart, I'd remain silent, and end this conversation! Oh...um...too late!
  6. Geron Kees

    Part 3

Thank you, Mr. Peabody. We shall consider this for the next story!
  7. All were interesting. New England is a place I know well. Visiting Grandmother was particularly arresting. Very effective, the use of memory to revive a picture. And, of course, New England has some wonderful starry skies. I never tire of watching them, watch us in return. Thanks for sharing these thoughts!

    Chapter 2

Yep. We have definitely gone beyond the bounds of good taste now!
  9. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Yeah, but in this case, you would be the doggy! And you'd better hope that guy doesn't have stainless steel in other places, too!
  10. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Woof! Kiel - at least with those stainless steel dentures in - would present some real problems in a relationship, I think. Can you imagine the hickey that boy could give? I won't even mention some of the other problems you'd face!
  11. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

    Don't YOU start!
  12. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

Christmas has always been what you make it. For us it has always been about family and friends, and trying to grant the small wishes that each one has. If you found that the story evoked memories for you, then you've been carrying nice wishes with you all along. Doesn't get much better than that!
  13. Geron Kees

    Chapter 1

What can I say? Just because you deserve a painting, doesn't always mean you'll get one. Join the crowd!
  14. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Haha! There is no victory over you, ever, is there? I surrender!
  15. Ah, the moon. Our fond watcher, always there, always looking out for us. I love the moon, and the sense of hope it brings to the night. A very sweet Wish. And what's a beautiful, sunny day without a breeze to carry back the memories of summers past? Invitation, indeed. Very evocative, Gary. The moon, and summer. You've touched on two of my favorite subjects!
  16. Geron Kees

    Chapter 5

Hmm. Lots of things going sideways at the top here! I had a roomie once that snored. Most godawful thing there is. Makes a night last a thousand years! Interesting progression in the story. Eagerly waiting for more!
  17. Geron Kees

    Chapter 2

Sure he did. Spielberg may not have created the concept of a big, scary thing with a mouthful of sharp teeth, that grabbed people and tore them up, but he sure put it out there for all to see! Besides, toss Richard Kiel into the water with that Great White shark, and I have a pretty good idea of which one would get eaten!

    Part 3

I can't see Bogart as Charlie, except maybe after a time warp had aged him. Kippy has a small touch of Hepburn in him, but just around the edges. And he'd probably smack both of us if we said that out loud!

    Summer Visit

I also think you captured the feel of a nice summer evening spent with friends. I take all poetry with how it speaks to me internally. I am far from an expert in this area of creative writing, so seldom feel competent to critique, beyond saying if I liked something or not. I liked this one. Best I can do!
  20. Geron Kees

    Part 4

Actually, using short passages for the purpose of review is not plagiarism. They're kinda nice, actually! Thanks.
  21. Geron Kees

    Part 2

That's wonderful! But Margaret still looked the way she did, and Alexander still looked the way he did. There was a reason they tapped Margaret to play a witch!
  22. I know. These things are cyclic, however, and we can hold out some small hope that we can rebound into something better shortly. Nothing like getting your face down into the muck to get a really good look at the dirt that's there.
  23. Geron Kees

    Chapter 1

Thank you. Haha. Others have asked about Pacha and Mike. I'm not telling! If you liked this one, you will probably enjoy the rest of the series. Let's hope!
  24. I did like this one. A lot!
  25. Geron Kees

    Part 2

Could be. They would not have made a good couple, though. From what I have seen of Alexander and Margaret, Alexander was by far the better-looking. And he could write, too!
